The Annunciation was said to have taken place on March 25, and December 25 is nine months later. By the way, December 25 is Jesus Christ's birthday, not Santa's. Santa Claus' (St. Nicholas, bishop of Myra) name day is December 6. Yes, there is a Santa Claus. He's alive and well in Heaven. He's not the biological son of Jesus, since Jesus had no biological children, but we're all Jesus' spiritual children.

Santa came about waaaaaaaaay on down the road. That has absolutely nothing to do with Jesus who was waaaay before that road. Every day is a day to celebrate Jesus...not just on some paganized 'birthday' that we have assigned to Him. Oh yeah...I guess it doesn't hurt mentioning...He kind of doesn't have human birthdays on earth anymore? And I'm pretty sure as the Lord of All, He's not physically again. December 25th is not Jesus Christ's birthday by any means. Just a day that people picked (including many Christians) who like to have an excuse to give gifts (mostly without the thought of Jesus as our gift).

I don't think we celebrate santa's birthday. Santa is a myth but its fun for children.
We always read the story of the birth of Christ at that time, and we celebrate the birth of Christ. Even though he most likely was not born in December.

It isn't "Santa's" birthday. It isn't even JESUS' birthday. Jesus was born sometime in the Fall. December 25 is the pagan celebration of the Winter Equinox, which was later absorbed into Catholicism, who handed it down to the Protestants.

December 25th is not Santa's birthday. It's supposed to be Jesus Christ's birthday. Santa is not a religious character. Santa used to exist several years ago, and he gave gifts to children. (I think he gave like, food and toys to the poor). He's dead now, but his legend and spirit carries on. It's more about fun for the kids. He really has nothing to do with Christianity.

Why arent you asking about the Easter Bunny? Do your own research, but it was a pagan god who's b-day falls on Dec.25. Didn't you ever wonder what the heck a rabbit has to do with the death of Jesus? Same as Santa, absolutely NOTHING. You can thank pagans and Catholics for perpetuating the lie. Have a nice day.

Santa is not the son of Jesus. Jesus never had a son. We don't celebrat Santa's birthday we are celebrating Jesus' birthday. Santa was just made up by the non religios people to have an excuse to give presents. No, Jesus never got married and he never had a son. Santa is just a mith and we celebrate jesus's birthday not "sants's"

It's not santa's birthday. It's SUPOSED to be Jesus's birthday.
But he was actuall born in the spring.
Christmas is a collection of religiouse rituals,
The biggest is the pagan solstace, But you also have quanza, Hanuka, Rammadan, and many other holiday's celebrated at this time. Christmas is a replica of a lot of Pagan rituals.

Exscpecially the gift giving for a time of death and re-birth.

Xmas became the most commercialized holiday, that's why. Stores try to exploit this day by mixing in Santa with Jesus, and a bunch of other things just to sell products.

Good question! Have you ever heard of the feast days? I'm a feast keeper and I don't celebrate Christmas, it was the catholic people who gave birth to Santa and Jesus being born on Christmas. Heres a web site that you might find interesting! www.bibleexplorations.com
