So i'm a senior in high school and i feel like this year i've really started to realize who my friends are and who aren't. I wanted to know if this is a normal thing to expierence. I wish i could have figured this out long ago PLEASE HELP there is more it's a tad bit long

i don't really want to use names in this. Anywho so my first friend's name was Angie .She has house parties a lot tells me that she is having them but cannot invite me. When i asked her WHY should would not invite me these were here two responses

this was "friend #1's" Response as to why she woudldn't invite me to her party
"told u the god d*mn reason... maybe i thought u'd be uncomfortable... i still remember during 4th grade at Julie's birthday part you were down in her basement CRYING because you fet like everyone hated you... well u know who came down there to see if you were okay... oh yea! that was ME!!!!!!!!! i tried to ******* help you... MAYBE i thought u'd be uncomfortable with the people at the party and i didn't want u to get upsest and start crying again... if u actually think of it... i was trying to help you! so i'm sorry if u think i hate you but i don't... you just take things the wrong way and your going to tell ME to grow up! wow.... let's just read u'r post again and see who should grow up and try and learn what people are trying to do to help you. and HELL people go behind my back all the time... that's life... it WILL happen so sorry.

Friend #2.
Situation # 2 involves a good friend of mine whom i have trusted for a long time. She agreed with me and 10 other people that we were all going to go to prom together. We were all supposed to buy tickets today they go on sale today. My "friend" went behind my back and told all 7 people about buying tickets on monday except me, my boyfriend, and another friend of mine. She then came up to us yesterday told us her limo was full, there table for prom was full, and that there beach house was also full. My friend "Katie" the other girl who she didn't tell was in TEARS because she does not have a boyfriend and has nobody else to really go with. Now my boyfriend me and Katie are stuck without a table, and limo, and place ot stay.
This girl also comes up to me and talks SO NASTY about Katie! So badly! She then goes back to Katie and talks bad about me and i've been BEHIND them when i heard them talking! I

Yea you really find out who ur true friends are after high school and you know what just dont be suprised. Dont expect much from people, thats the mistake I made.

yes you reached that point in life, and your grown up.
this is normal and be happy that it did cause when you dont know who the true friends are they will stab you in the back.
