I have been on a gluten-free diet for two years. The foods do get better as you acquire a taste for them. The following breads are good: The Grainless Baker multigrain bread (www.the grainlessbaker.com), Ina Garden Country Style Seed Bread, and Kinnickinnick Multigrain Bread. All types of Tinkyada Brown Rice Pastas are excellent. For crackers I have been using the Glutino Gluten-Free Pretzel Sticks. NutThins are also good. Amy's Organic Soups are good. I am not sure if they are all gluten-free. The Cream of Tomato and Chunky Tomato Bisque are good. Pamela's cookies are expensive but tasty. Josef's Graham Crackers are good. I made S'mores last summer with them. Hope this helps!

Hmm..... I'm allergic to gluten and I have the same problem, but since I'm really new to this I can't help you too much.....

Try shopping at stores like Wild Oats, Whole Foods and Trader Joe's. I can't find any bread that I like, so we make our own from quinoa or amaranth flour. Tapioca and chestnut flour are crumbly without arrowroot to hold it together. Rice is gluten-free too, but it's kind of grainy. There are a lot of gluten-free cookbooks out there, the one we use is called Allergy Cooking with Ease (because I'm allergic to other things too.) It's by Nicolette M. Dumke.

Cookies- There's arrowroot animal crackers and ginger snaps that are really good from a brand called Mi-Del. But don't try the chocolate chip ones, they taste like air freshener.

Crackers- Mr. Krispers makes rice crackers in various flavors that are really good, also there's a thing called Nut Thins from Blue Diamond. (the almond company) But since you don't need to give up potato chips, you might not need these.

Soups- Anything that's not a crweam soup. I think you should be able to just pick up any soup at the grocery store if you pay close attention to the ingredients labels. My personal favorite is chicken wild rice.

Try googling "gluten-free diet" or "gluten-free bread." Celiac.com should also have anything you need.
The book I mentioned before would also be good even though you only to avoid wheat, because it has a section in the back about obtaining special foods.

I use the rice pasta not the corn pasta - it tastes more like the regular wheat pasta.
