I dislike (well hate) the don't ask, don't tell policy. The military loses many excellent soldiers due to this. Why should it matter that people are gay and serve in the military? To this day, the military is the only job in the U.S. where you can fired for being gay. We need to change. Hello? Where is the separation of church and state? I'm religious myself, but to have this stupid policy is simply retarded. Should we jump off a bridge if Christians told us too? Let gay people have their rights. You are not God and you are not supposed to judge anybody. Hate the sin not the sinner!

Yes the General is right. Even a General knows there is a God to fear and standing on the Word of God is a good place to stand.

His original comment? Only in HIS opinion, which should NOT have been voiced as such. I'm sick and tired of fundamentalist Christianity trying to overtake the military, which is NOT a theocracy nor in a theocratic government. It's becoming more and more pervasive and it's got to GO!
Points: The illegal fundamentalist tape made by top military officials in the Pentagon, advertising religious principals in leadership, foisting views of only ONE religion on a patient in a healthcare setting... disgusting all.

We are all entitled to our opinions.
The 1st Amendment protects his speech.
The Bible clearly states that homosexuality is not only a sin, but an abomination before God. To support the view of God on matters of right and wrong is honorable. I am glad he has the courage to not only state his views, but stand behind them.

No. He's a small minded bigot. What if become unfashionable to be a douche bag army guy? I bet he'd request we mind our own business instead of telling him how to live his life.
No offense to non-douche bag army guys

Yes, I believe he was completely right. It's refreshing to see someone who has the huevos to come right out and stand up for the Truth, at the expense of being ridiculed. I say, good for him.
