No. Your dog needs you. They can become depressed when abandoned.

If you had the nerve to ask the question, you do not love your dog. I wouldnt get rid of my dog for anything. My dog has some behavior issues that would make most people give the dog up, I will not give up on my dog for anyone. My other dog got sick and I spent thousands saving his life. You do not deserve a pet. Find a loving family and do the animal world a favor and stay away. Even if you decide not to move in because you were selfish and callous to think of such a rotten thing, I would still encourage you to give your dog to a loving family or person. I hope that it haunts you for the rest of your life.

Your answer depends on several issues. such as, what does your pup mean to you? are you attached to each other? Do you get real joy from just being w/your best friend/companion? is your pup large or small? require alot or little upkeep?
Moving in with someone, especially one w/family members is alot of hard work. Each person will have to make changes and acceptions. If your dog is small and requires little upkeep, then this is one adjustment that needs to be made in your favor. pay attention to how everyone works as a unit. Is there harmony. If, not don't make the move. If you do decide to make the move and leave "buster" behind, then your priority should be to find him a good home (not the money he will bring). Finally ask yourself, "if the move doesn't work and your out on your own in a short time and w/out your pup. Will you be alright about that"?

No! What kind of person would sell a dog to move in with a man. A dog is for life not just until you find a new play mate. Is this the same levels of loyalty you will be showing to the man?

Why would you want to sell...your dog? Isnt finding him a good home a better thing to do? It is sad that you would have to give him up to move in with your boyfriend and family...so make absolutely sure that this boyfriend is worth it. Make sure that you know what you are getting yourself into also. Is your relationship at the point that you want to set up house with him? You have a lot of questions to ask yourself before you give up your doggie.

I wouldn't but it is understandable everyone isn't a dog lover. I have a dog who is spoiled rotten, my son-in-law is not in to dogs, he rufuses to have him staying at his house if I am away but he has compromised and lets him in, even walks him. If you love your boyfriend and you know he is a really nice person it is a hard decision. Could you either not persuade him to have the dog as well or have you not parents, brothers, sisters etc whom you know would be really good to him and you could still see him? It would break my heart to sell or give mine away. When you get an animal and it trusts you you shouldn't betray the trust. As the saying goes.......A dog is for life, not just for Christmas. Think if you didn't have the dog and just was wanting one then it should be you that should respect your boyfriends wishes but looks like he got you, dog and all. PLEASE take care of it?

That is awful, you made a commitment when you got a dog, u cant just abandon it! But, if u are that willing to give him up, then maybe you should, so he can find a better owner. Besides what if the boyfriend thing doesn't work out? What fault does the poor dog have in this?

It depends on how much you love your dog. I have an ex boyfriend who hated my two jack russells; his mistreating them landed us into a huge physical fight. I felt guilty every day I was with him because he was so mean.
My dogs love me know matter what, and I will never be in a relationship with a man who does not love my dogs too.
If you see your dog as a dog, then SELL him. If you see your dog as a member of your family, GIVE him away to someone you know will take good care of him. It's not nice to sell your family members, but fiding him a good/better home is.

I have never heard of a dog who lied, cheated, or wasn't happy to see you when you got home from work in a bad mood. Dogs are loyal, loving, and are ALWAYS there for you. So sure........sell your dog and toss him away because it's not convenient for you to have him anymore, and move in with your boyfriend and his family. I'm sure it will all work out just fine.

H e l l no! Boyfriends last only so long and moving in with his family is not a smart move in general...but fido loves you unconditionally...plus when you got the pup, you took on a responsibility for that pups life...you are the dogs world.
