Guys with red hair usually aren't very attractive, esp if it's the fiery kind of red. Girls with that color look very pretty and I never see them having a problem. I have red-blonde hair and never have a problem with guys. They all say that red is a not very common color and it makes you stand out, in a good way. Most people with red hair are fair, and fair people tend to have freckles. I have freckles and I love them..no issues with them...

I AM a Redhead without freckles and VERY proud of it too as I can also tan. I have never had a problem getting a date or staying in a relationship.
Most men have told me they have never dated or been with a redhead and that I was their first. When I asked why, they said "I dunno....I have always been attracted to blondes or brunettes". Then I get asked "Is it true what they say about Redheads?". Wish I knew! I hear redheads are wild and well.....I was born a rebel so I guess that makes me wild but I am very compassionate and easy going.
Bottom line is that Redheads are no different than any other hair color or nationality...we are just as human as everyone else.
I will say that red hair on men just looks plain funny to me and the idea of dating a red haired man never occurred to me either as I have yet to meet a man with red hair. I wouldn't be prejudiced against dating him because of his hair color any more than I would judge him for his skin color, social status, financial status or physique.
I have never heard of any white, black, brown, red, yellow or ??? man say they didn't like redheads...they seemed more curious about them than a blonde or brunette that's all.

I LOVE red hair! I even pay pretty good money to become a red head every so often! My brother is a red head and I know he got picked on really bad in school. I think that people pick on people with red hair for many reasons. For one there are not that many red heads in the world so they are different!! Also most red heads are pale which doesn't seem to be attractive to most people. And no come to think of it I really have never seen a natural redhead without freckles! Well I hope this helps!

No I haven't seen a redhead without freckles! I got a mate who is going out with a blonde guy and they been together for a few months. She dosen't seem to be happy with her hair colour as she has died it black, brown and blonde within like 5 months but their relationship is still the same.
I personally have no idea to why they get treated quite differently as we are all human beings and are the same!

I think that there is a stereotype about men especially, who have red hair...The stereotype says that they are "howdy doody", with lots of freckles and features so fair that they become hard to define alongside fair skin.
In my experience, this is applicable to young boys with red hair, but by the time they grow into men, the look totally changes. Going from boy to man makes a big difference, regardless of what one's coloring is.
Woody Allen and Ron Howard are examples of men who fit the sterotype - lots of freckles, somewhat boyish faces, and light features.
James Cagney and David Caruso are examples of men who have grown out of the boyish look, and whose haircolor therefore becomes unimportant.
Red hair also comes a long with the perception that the owner of the hair is "fiery"...This is generally more accepted in women, as men generally like a woman with a little spice. In this day & age, most of us women are looking for a man with a little less spice.
And yes, I have met quite a few redheads who didn't have freckles. I actually used to work with a woman whose hair was naturally the color of a bright shiny new penny...Her skin was like bone china...fine, delicate, essentially perfect. There are names for people like that, but I won't repeat them here! :)

I'm white with blond hair. And personally I DON"T like redheads.... Why? I don't know, maybe because most redheads have very white pale skin... and that is not very attractive to me. Red is not the most natural looking color, and I don't think it looks good on anyone, ESPECIALLY GUYS! It just looks BAD that's all! I'm sorry for redheads who read this, no offense, this is just my personal opinion. Not long ago I met this gorgeous guy, great face, body, but he had red hair, and that completely turned me OFF! It's not an attractive color for peoples hair.

i dont really know, i think thats the sort of thing that happens in school before youre like 12. most people think its a really beautiful, unique(ish) feature when theyre older, or just dont really have an opinion on it. the people who find it unattractive usually dislike the pale skin (which i actuly like on guys, i find it quite attractive, and freckles too.) that usually goes along with it.
no, ive never seen a red haired person without freckles lol. those 2 red heads that aj gave links to have died red hair, look at it! its obviously not there natural colour, and also they both claim to die their hair.
i personally think its really hot on guys, especially blondy red or browny red, but not so much BRIGHT ORANGE lol.
also, ragini or whateva her name is, WHY WOULD IRELAND BE A BAD ASSOCIATION! they gave us guinness, dont dis!

I used to be a redhead till 15 or 16 yo, then it got darker and now it's a warm brown. I so wanted it to stay red. I have freckles BTW.
I dunno, but I hear redheads are too temperamental and hot. I don't believe it, of course. I never heard of redheads being dumped tho.

Dane, it is a interesting question, especially since I have asked it myself, I have even stereo typed people based on their red hair!
It seems that my most unfavored (acquaintances ) children are red heads! This is based on true experience, they seem to be more wild and unruly!
That being said, I do love Lucille Ball, she was a rare exception, but Ron Howard does nothing for me and annoys me because of his LOOKS!
So I think that it is a personal thing, and thankfully there is someone for everyone!
