Don't worry about what they think. Eventually you'll all become adults and it won't matter who was popular in school. Just be yourself and enjoy life. You'll be a much happier person that way.

The answer to this question is that it doesn't really matter what the popular kids (or anyone else for that matter) think of you.

You have to like yourself first. If you like yourself and find a few good friends who like you too, the rest of the popular crowd doesn't matter. I ended up making my own crowd with people who did the same things that I did. Try finding a few people who like doing the same things you do, and don't worry too much about everyone else.

One other thing. If you let these people who are "driving you nuts" know that what they say or do bothers you, they will keep right on doing it.

If you at least act like what they say and do doesn't bother you, they will stop eventually because they aren't getting under your skin and will move on to someone else who they can feel superior to.

To answer that question, the person would need to see things from your perspective. From the information in your question, it seems you are not part of the higher social food chain. Their are many different opinions on this matter and the most important one is the one you choose. My opinion is the popular kids are just as good as the feeling it is to be popular. If you ever had this feeling, or want to have for that matter, you would realise that this popularity either happens or it doesn't. No one can tell you the right answer because I don't know what you want to hear. The only thing i know is those kids that know you for who you really are, would be the ones to me most honest. From my own viewpoint of popular social standings in school, people are deceptive and manipulative. You make the choice on what makes you feel right. And last but not least, if you wanna be just as good as them, find out how good they really are.

Play the "nonchalance" card, this is like the Ace of Spades of cool. Just do what you want, ignore anything they say to you directly, stick to wearing sunglasses and sit back and chill as if your life were a movie. Popularity is gained by greed, and goes away after highschool, ppl go off to college and forget about this. Don't be mean or rude this wont get you anywhere. If they laugh at you then just laugh with them and tell them that it was a good joke indeed and maybe they should be a comedian.
You are probably better than them, so if you think like a maverick you will feel much better.
Dying your hair blue or red is going too far :)

OMG - do NOT even worry about those losers! School is tough, but just be the best you you can be and get through it. The best way to be better than them is to study study study and get a great career where you can make lots of money and be happy (with your career choice).

When I went back to my H.S. reunion, all the "popular" kids were SO unhappy. Most were drunk before an hour had passed! I could see right through them and I never felt better about being myself. :) You are a unique gem! Don't be ashamed to be YOU! :)

You are ...just as good as them. You don't have to prove that to anyone! Have confidence in yourself. Dont let them drive you nuts either as this is only school and you have your entire life ahead of you. The people you know today wont be the people you know tomorrow.

What is it that makes everyone want to be popular? One can't think too much of oneself if you want to be like someone else. You shouldn't put too much emphasis on wanting to be liked by everyone or you will be sad for a long time. Learn to love the person you are and don't worry about what others think.

If YOU yourself don't think you're as good as them, you won't be able to make anybody else believe you are.
Don't fall for the pretenses of a few snotty brats, who are probably popular because their daddies make good money, not because of something they did.
Be an individual, that way you'll respect yourself!

Be yourself, don't try to change just to fit in, that's stupid and superficial, you're smarter than that. One of my most favorite quotes is: "Be smarter than others, just don't let them know so." If they're driving you nuts, ignore them. Why would you want to hang out with them even more if they drive you nuts.

They are NOT worth your efforts to "fit in".

I can guarantee this.
You will probably never see these people after High School.
Just focus on your education. Get a College degree and be a success....it is the best revenge after all.
