I don't really function with adobe unless i have to look at a document, but i downloaded an ebook that was a pdf file, and can not find it at all. So my question is where do i go to retrieve my pdf documents ? Thank:)

do 1 thing get google desktop search http://desktop.google.com/
install it
Search for the file on your harddisk...
if you dont remember the name just type .pdf

if the above process is not possible try windows search tool(aweful)

well where did u saveyour downloaded file too? Check your files on open in adobe. Where it says File then open. Depending where you saved your file to/ for ex: my downloads file.

this may or may not help. but i think the easiest way would be to return to where you downloaded it from and start to download again. once it prompts you where to save you will be able to see the filename. once you have the filename do a search.
