I went to the dr. today and she told me I was 4cm dilated, and 90% thinned out. I stayed at three cm for such a long time. When I came home I started spotting, I called the nurse and she told me its probably just the result of the exam. My dude date was MArch 7th I dont want to be pregnant any longer, I ve been walking and doing everything, any suggestions?(this is not my first baby) I am scheduled to be induced on friday but dont feel I should have to wait even that long, my baby is big and healthy.

Bumpy car rides are supposed to speed things up, sex (with orgasm!) is often a trigger. At 4cm and 90% effaced you are almost there, its probably on a matter of hours before you are delivering.

It sounds like you're on the way, 90% effaced is nearly there, and being dilated means your body really is preparing. You are not way overdue yet, it's fine to go to 42 weeks I'm afraid!
I swear by tonic water, the quinine in it can induce labour, it is an abortifactant if used too much in early pregnancy, meaning it stimulates the womb to labour.
I went in to early labour about half an hour after drinking some. It was the day before my due date. My son was born on his due date after a pretty quick and easy labour.
Having sex with your partner is a good one, as sperm contains something that aggravates the womb in to contracting, and having an orgasm yourself also causes spasms in the womb that can get it going properly.
Keep an eye on the spotting, if it looks like pink coloured mucous it could be your plug, which is good. If it continues too long or gets heavier then call them again in case they have damaged the womb or cervix, because of possible risk of infection. Minimal risk, but still keep an eye.
Sadly though, babies tend to come just when they want to... But it sounds like no matter what you do you'll not have long to wait :)

dot is such a moron! Try walking and cleaning to help speed things up. Being induced hurts more. Being 4cm and 90% means your close you just need to dialate more. Cleaning and walking helps. If by spotting you mean your muslus plug thats a good sign things should speed up. That dot person is such a moron wrapped in idiot, she isnt complaining stupid shes overdue and ready for the baby to come. She asked for advice she didnt say any uneducated stupid people have a rude comment. Just goes to show you cant fix stupid just point and laugh.

You're way overdue they should have induced labor a long time ago because this is dangerous for the mother. There are points on your feet that are known to trigger labor you might want to have someone rub your feet and ankles since I was told that's what gets a lot of women to start contracting since there are pressure points in your feet.

Dang. when i was forty weeks pregnant, i made something up like my family has plane tickets home before i am induced and would like to be induced early. and they did it for me.
