The hospital has said it will take 2 weeks for these scans. Is it better to go private and get them done quickly?

2 weeks is hardly any time to wait...save your money.

It depends who is going to read the scans. I travel for an hour past four hospitals with scanners to reach the (public) hospital with the most experienced doctors.

In my experience, when the case is urgent, everything can move fast. (Symptom Monday, GP Tuesday, Specialist Thursday, CT scan Friday, MRI Monday, bad news Tuesday.)

There's nothing nicer than becoming the less urgent case on the MRI list!

CT makes use of radiation to get scans, puppy test is a positronic test of the concepts (i've got by no skill had one) yet dang, I even have had over one hundred(in all probability over 3 hundred) MRI's when you consider that they started making them interior the mid '80's (while the holes, or bores, you're positioned into the gadget have been MAJORLY TINY AND UNCOMFORTABLE!) it makes use of magentic pulses to bypass via your physique and test it. I even have had cts, mri's, gamma scans, xrays, incredibly much each thing because of the fact of my concepts tumor. in case you have the different questions, inquire from me.

If you are wealthy, then I would spend the money and get the scans done privately, because it is always best to catch cancer as soon as possible before it spreads. That's a shame you have to wait 2 weeks. What country are you in?

I guess it really depends on your current diagnosis and medical state. I would recommend going privately if you can afford it, for your own peace of mind. Waiting to get scans done can be stressful, and stress is extremely detrimental to your health.
