It is traditional for only the bride to wear white, to stand out, to shine. Anyone else, except for a child flower girl, to wear white is not appropriate.
If you have seen the movie, monster in law, where Jane Fonda wears a white dress for her son's wedding, that is the ultimate in tacky low class behaviour, designed to show up the bride on her special day.
Don't share your color, don't share your day, and don't let anyone resemble your dress. Your wedding party is supposed to resemble eachother, not you. No comparisons or opportunity for comparisons should be allowed.
Sorry, if I saw anyone, guests or member of the wedding party, wearing white, I would chalk up their bad taste to bad breeding, no manners, and would be sure to cross them off any guest list I would ever consider including them in.

No don't let your jr. bridesmaid wear white. It is too competing to the bride. Only flowergirls wear white and usually with a sash of coordinating color of bridesmaids dresses. Jr bridesmaid should wear a color maybe a little lighter than the bridesmaids dresses with a sash to make it look a little different.

No, your jr bridesmaid should dress like the bridesmaids. Seven is way too young for a jr bridesmaid anyway; it would have been better to make her a flowergirl, the 2 and 1/2 year old is way too young.

Along the same lines as everyone else - it is your day, do whatever you would like.
I am engaged to be married on August 4th and wanted to include my 9 yr old son so I decided to make him a Jr. Groom and have him dress like my fiance and asked one of my bridesmaids daughters to be a Jr. Bride and she is going to wear a dress identical (or really really close) to mine.
So - if you want to get away from the Jr. Bridesmaid comment, then make her a Jr. Bride and get her a Jr. Groom to walk her down the isle. I think it is a wonderful idea and will make you happy you did what you wanted.

I definitely agree with everyone who said that it's your day so do whatever you want but just a bit of info for those who said you shouldn't and that it isn't appropriate.... The original purpose of bridesmaids was to dress exactly like or very similar to the bride to confuse evil spirits that might try and take her away on her wedding day. It was believed that evil spirits attended marriages with the goal of making mischief. So... historically there is nothing inappropriate about dressing her in white. And again, who cares anyway... it's your day! There wouldn't be thousands of styles of wedding dresses on the market if we were all supposed to have the same wedding!

I was the jr. bridesmaid in my sister's wedding. I was about 10 and my dress was like a mini-version of my sister's. So, I'd say go for it!

YES !!!! A friend of mine did this.....everyone had the same white gown as the bride ( but the bride had huge belled skirt with train....everyone else had smaller skirt and no train ) and everyone wore periwinkle blue sashes tied behind in big bows ( and long ribbons to the floor ) It was really striking/ unusual.

If YOU want your jr bridesmaid to be a "mini" version of you, then do it! It is YOUR day afterall and it shouldn't matter what others think.

useful, i do no longer see something incorrect with picking a bridesmaid gown as your wedding ceremony gown. as long as you adore it, then what else concerns? and that i think of your determination is a appealing gown. Kiwi is amazingly incredibly, yet once you experience adventurous, then i might say to bypass with palomino, or perhaps sterling. incredibly gown regardless of the indisputable fact that!
