Howdy Fanciful : Here is an answer for your query. Open Heart surgery in the United States, even at large well funded facilities such as the UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, is horrifyingly expensive. To the tune of $20,670 - $20,750. Simple plastic surgery on teens, now very popular I am given to understand, costs from $ 4000 upward. Give you some idea of how expensive this can get. Take some advice from an old Jarhead and stay in school, go to college, and get a good job with a comprehensive Health Plan Good Luck with that story. Expect to see your name at Amazon.com soon ! When I was 15 I had surgery for acid reflux, it was suppose to be pretty routine, but they accidently hit my spleen and had to take it out, which left me with Paratinitis. I was in the hospital a full year,, so that was very expensive.
