Good question Matthew Saad Muhammad was very tough with a lot of heart. He also had good power. Foster in my opinion is the 2nd greatest light heavyweight fighter ever behind only Archie Moore. Muhammad's major weakness was that he just got hit too often and this would not be a good idea against the rangy Foster. Muhammad's recuperative power is well known as witnessed in his wars with Marvin Johnson and Yaqui Lopez where he looked like a sure loser only to come back and win. Foster had a great jab and a long reach especially for a light heavyweight and of course a bomb in his right hand that stretched many an opponent over his career. I see the first 5-6 rounds being controlled by Foster using his reach and boxing ability with Muhammad coming back strong in rounds 7-9. In round 10 I believe Foster would catch Muhammad coming in with one of those big right hand bombs sending him to this canvas. Muhammad would beat the count but Foster would connect again and send him back to the canvas. Once again the game Muhammad would beat the count but would be glassy eyed and wobbly with the referee wisely stopping the fight. This would have been an exciting fight.

Matthew Saad Muhammad was a good boxer and at one time had a very respectable record. Before he started losing he was a very enjoyable boxer to watch. He is not going to stay long in the ring with Foster though. After the loss to Qwai, Muhammad went down hill way down. Foster would probably knock Muhammad out.

Saad Muhammed was a decent fighter but Foster was elite. I don't see Foster having a problem easily winning a decision. A punchers chance against a fighter of Fosters caliber is not very good odds.

Foster by easy decision.

Foster uses his reach and explosive power to TKO Saad in the championship rounds or win a decision. Both fighters are hurting after the fight.

Great fight! In my opinion, Matthew would be just a tad bit outgunned by Foster. I'm a huge Maxwell Antonio Loach fan better known as Matthew Saad Muhammad. He changed his names after his mother had abandoned him as a child and the Nuns at Catholic Charities named him Matthew. Matthew was your typical blood and guts Philly Fighter. He'd gladly take one to give one.

Bob was indeed the harder puncher of the two and would not sit there and bang it out with the slugger Muhammad. He would create distance with his sharp jab and work the body effectively enough to slow Matthew down and then land the harder straighter shots upstairs.

Bob would win a 15 round unanimous decision. Thanks for the question PoppaDog.

My wife just had Matthew clean our gutters out Saturday. Matt does side jobs for cash. He is one of Philadelphia's many homeless former world Champions.

Bob Foster. He was too tall and rangy, and Saad-as much as he had a monster chin-couldnt have absorbed the blows that Foster would be layin' on him.

Since I haven't had the privelege of watching either men fight in their primes, I will just express my opinion based on what history has given us. Foster will probably have the edge in power, defense, and stamina. I think Muhammad will have the edge in chin and speed. I see Foster winning via a stoppage in the later rounds. Sorry for the undetailed answer.
