What are your favorite colors? What about your future hubby?
One of the colors can be a warm feminine color and the other should compliment it, it can be a color that your future hubby chooses.
Just my suggestion.
Congratulations!! May you guys have a happy life together.

August is summer, so I would not go with darker colors as darker colors are for winter. Of course the wedding dress would be white...but to add a dash of color perhaps accent with peach or teal (both being summer colors)...then you can match up your brides maids dresses in that color and the entire color theme of the wedding in those colors as well. Peach and Teal go so much better than colors like yellow.

I just got married last August and I went with a rainbow wedding. We had our ceremony outdoors and with all the beautiful colors we chose it went right along with the flowers, trees and gazebo. We used soft pink, pastel blue, yellow, lavender, pistachio. I wore ivory, and we had the guys wear a tie that matched each of the girls colors.

Light colors are what most would suggest but you can pick any color that you want. My wedding was in august and I picked navy blue & silver. It's your wedding pick the colors that you like.

Congratulations to you! I got married in August last year. I wore white, and my girls had black and white floral jackets with black skirts. My hubby wore a gold shirt with black pants and the groomsmen wore white shirts with black pants. The flowers were gerbera daisies (those big bright daisies, they are red, orange, yellow and gold). I used the color from the flowers for accents and table decorations and stuff. It was beautiful. Good luck.-

I got married 2 years ago in August. My girls wore a "cornflower blue" dress & the accent color (in their flowers) was yellow. It looked great!

You will never go wrong with traditional colors. For a summer wedding, warm colored flowers in the medium sunset range, and, if your bridesmaids dresses are going to be out of chiffon and all billowy, make them a very simple and pale shade of one of your lighter colors, but if they are going to be lovely couture or designer and fitted then you can go with one of your brighter colors, like coral or mint. Colored chiffon bridesmaids dresses...shudder...I have had my share and have resented every dime I ever laid out for them and their matching shoes.
Congrats and good luck and be kind to your wedding party when it comes to colors because what goes around comes around and someday, you may be stuck paying hundreds of dollars for some scarlett ohara wannabbe gown with dyed to match silk shoes.

I saw the cutest pairing of black with "Tiffany" blue. It was very classy and pretty. If you want to be more relaxed and fun, choose "summer colors" like pink, yellow, and orange.
