Long answer, but gives you an idea about how this has been adressed (if you really wanted to know and weren't just baiting ;) )
Jewish and Christian theologians have asked the same question for many years now. There are many answers. For a few Jews and a few Jewish thinkers, the Holocaust "proved" that, if there is a God, then God is powerless to change history and could not stop the Holocaust. Some even went so far as to say either "there is no God" or "God created the world and then stepped away to let it run on its own." Many of these thinkers changed their minds as time went on and the causes of the Holocaust became clearer. Some still believe these things. A majority of Jewish thinkers, however, feel that the question needs better phrasing. Ask, for instance, "where is God normally?" and you begin to see what they mean. If you believe that God is a kind of "person" that can "be somewhere," then your question--Where was God during the Holocaust--must really mean, "Why didn't God behave like some super-hero and stop the Holocaust from happening?" But most Jews believe that God gave human beings free will, the ability to make decisions that change the world either for good or bad. When Cain killed Abel, God did not stop Cain, God only showed Cain that there is always a cost to pay when you do something wrong. If God stopped all evil actions in the world, then human beings would be helpless to change anything. We would have no need of thinking or feeling or anything else. Everything would be in God's hands. But most Jews agree that there is a spark of God in every human being and that we have good intentions and evil intentions, all the same. Our job is to make the world a better place by turning even our evil urges to positive work. When we do this, we let the spark of God in us shine in the world and there is more God in the world. When we let our evil urges do bad things, we rob the world of the spark of God in us, so we take a little of God out of the world. The Holocaust was the work of human beings who let loose their evil urges and forgot the meaning of doing good. They deprived the world of a lot of the divine sparks of their generation, and the world became a much more "godless" place. Good people everywhere rejected the work of evil being done by the Nazis and others like them, and fought against their evil with good intentions (using their evil urges in the service of good). In the end, we managed to restore some of the good in the world that was missing in the time of the Nazis and the Holocaust. Now, we are faced with new threats from people who wish to use their evil urges against good people--again, the good people of the world need to stand up and stop terrorism and other godless movements. So, where was God during the Holocaust? The answer is the same as always, God was wherever human beings were doing good and not evil, wherever human beings were choosing life and not death, wherever human beings were doing the work of God. It is up to each one of us to put an end to evil. --Rabbi Seymour Rossel

Why did no-one stop it? We could say that the holocaust doesn't exist today, but then I wouldn't know what are you asking...
But, seriously, the Christians did nothing, the atheists did nothing, the Jews also did nothing (beside from that Warsaw unsuccessful rebellion), and, yet, it did come to an end. How do you think that God should have interfered? Do you believe in 'a man with a beard'? What, does he live on mount Olympus or Sinai? And acts physically? Generally, this is a very stupid question, and I'm not less stupid for answering it, but I like writing, so - what can one do?

People are blinded to Jewish and Christian persecution. And people weren't attentive to Gods warnings.
Also, evil leaders did purpose to put a cover over their evil deeds in the Holocaust. I had watched on 60 mins the other day, that they purposed a pleasent place for jewish children in a play. It fooled the other nations. One of the few survivors said, the the nations chose to be fooled. They let it happen. Most of those beautiful children of that cover up went to the gas chamber or concentration camps.
So, also, considering the earliest church. one in Japan. An evil dictator ruled for years and the Christians in Japan were wiped out. Now, Japan has a good economy and the yourth are hungry for God. So, a super spiritual revival is on the verge or is happening in Japan.
So, also, considering the earliest Church areas that were taken over by Islam. Christians also were either under dimitude and if accused of Enemy of Islam, were either suppressed or died off also. As far as cover up goes. This has been going of for years & years. Even the media today, wont mention the 1000s of Christians exiting Iraq because of Sunni & Shiite strongholds. Usually Christians are called Kurds or Iraquis. But Sunni & Shiite strongholds. Yet other nations cover it up. And also the reality behind Darfur genocide. The Islamic Government pays the Muslim Arab horsemen. This coverup is getting uncovered right now as God shines His light in the darkness.
The reason is that Christians aren't told to preach the Gospel with the sword that kills people because they don't believe. The devil is scared of the power of God of Christians & Israel so tries to wipe them off the map.
And Jesus said, that blessed are those who suffer for Christ righteousness sake, great is their reward. Also, martyrs for Christ, will rule and reign with Christ for the millinium.

Because he has given us free agency. And because death is not the end. The Jews who suffered will be rewarded 100 fold in the next life. We don't fully understand the big picture, but God does and we need to trust him. Think of one prophesy that was fulfilled as a result of the holocaust--a Jewish state was created where the Jews could gather. Is there any other way that could have happened?

i think of Alex R has the final good judgment, and there is one extra threat: Isaiah fifty 5:9: "using fact the heavens are greater than the earth, so are my procedures greater than your procedures and my concepts than your concepts." We only can not ever be attentive to why. only using fact the Hebrews had no theory why they have been enslaved in Egypt see you later. yet God had a plan, and many years later the e book of Hebrews documents the which potential of all of it, the typology of Moses to Jesus, the crossing of the crimson Sea to baptism, the receiving of the regulation 50 days later (Mt. Sinai) to the receiving of Grace 50 days later (Pentecost) and the 40 3 hundred and sixty 5 days wandering to the 40 3 hundred and sixty 5 days transition between the old and new covenants.

Maybe he started it because he was mad at the Jews for leaving their religion. That's what he said he'd do if they left their religion. At least in the Bible, in Deuteronomy 28:45-48
"All these curses will come upon you. They will pursue you and overtake you until you are destroyed, because you did not obey the LORD your God and observe the commands and decrees he gave you. They will be a sign and a wonder to you and your descendants forever. Because you did not serve the LORD your God joyfully and gladly in the time of prosperity, therefore in hunger and thirst, in nakedness and dire poverty, you will serve the enemies the LORD sends against you. He will put an iron yoke on your neck until he has destroyed you."
and verse 63, which pretty much describes the Holocaust
"Just as it pleased the LORD to make you prosper and increase in number, so it will please him to ruin and destroy you."
So basically the answer is, he didn't stop it, because he said he wouldn't, and that he would cause it if they did what they did.

News for you: the holocaust is no longer around. It did stop, came to an end. Maybe in God's own time, for a purpose unknown to anybody.

Sadly we have a free will to do wrong and hurt others. And that's the kind of mess ppl get in when they show hate to ppl because of there faith, when they are gonna improve mankind by doing away with the undesirable. Jews Gypsy handicapped ppl were all "grouped up as undesirable"
the bible says; "it rains on the just and unjust alike"
bad things happen to ppl and good things happen to ppl.
all because of free will

Because He was waiting for His children to step forward and prevent the atrocities. We learned at Sinai that we are to welcome the strangers, free the captives, etc. I'm sure He was astounded by how long it took for His children to come to the rescue. He must have also been astounded by the number of His children who were complicit with Hitler!
Those who ignored what was happening will be judged, as well as those who continue to ignore the genocide happening right now at this instant in Darfur, Sudan. How will you be judged? Contact your congressional representative and demand U.N. action on the genocide in Darfur. It's too late for Rwanda, but there's still people to be saved in Darfur!
Perhaps "genocide" is a test for "believers." Why is it that Christians pray for God to intervene, and then sit back and do NOTHING?

It was part of his plan. Everything that happens is supposed to happen for a reason. We can not know every single thing that resulted from this horrible tragedy. We cannot know who was changed because of what they saw or did and how that affected their children and grandchildren. Everything we do in this life is all for our purpose. We may not know the purpose, or how many it touches, but when we have served our purpose, our point in this life is over.
