Is this something that can be left up to priests, pastors, and saints (such as myself), or do the rank and file also need to be holy?
Also, is there a different standard of holiness for everyday people, from that of clergy etc.? Can really busy people get by with just perfunctory holiness?
Oh, and by the way, who is the holiest person on earth today?
We know that, as a group, the Baptists are holier than other denominations; but surely there are individuals who are actually holier than the Baptists?
One last question: is there a holiness scale, or holiness curve, as it were? Is it like a 1-to-5 scale, and how is each level of holiness defined?
One last question: Does being holy necessarily include being pious?

Yes, we can be holy if we take as our definition for holiness the moral law as laid out in the Bible: " Any deviation from the known law of God." But, if we take as our standard the legal definition of holiness " Any deviation in any way from God's absolute perfection," there would be no hope. Sometimes, some groups might use the legal definition and therefore say that one cannot be holy. I take personally, the moral definition, and as such, God can cleanse our hearts from the carnal nature ( by faith and consecration), and we can live Holy lives. and pietism is " substituting Holy Practices for heart cleansing ( i.e. reading the Bible, Fasting, etc.) We might could end up replacing those things for a holy heart, but as God makes us holy, we will want to do those things. By the way, I am presenting some of the " holiness views". I am presenting some of the views of the entire sanctification and progressive sanctification camp. Btw, I attend a holiness Bible College, and I am fixing to go take a test for holiness class! God Bless! Any more questions? Feel free to ask!

holy means consecrated to god. as far as who is holiest, it isn't a matter of who or what you are that makes you holy. It is written that god is not an admirer of people(s) place or position. So in that context i will say the holiest people are the ones most consecrated to god. Which is determined by your thoughts and actions. pious has a few definitions. to be consecrated to god takes a minimum of reverence. So in that vein i would say yes. I hope i passed your audition.

Yes it is important to be holy. as a student, I have reaped the consequences of being holy. Everyone should be religious. I definitely believe that there is a supernatural power above us.
In my opinion, anyone who is kind to others is the holiest person today.

Mathew 5:48
"Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect."
Church Father Clement of Alexandria wrote:
“As a consequence of this intelligent sympathy with the Divine Will, the Gnostic becomes in perfect unity in himself, and as far as possible like God. Definite outward observances cease to have any value for one whose being is brought into abiding harmony with that which is eternal; he has no wants, no passions; he rests in the contemplation of God, which is and will be his unfailing blessedness.”

Take a look around you and the decadence of the human race. It's a function of the lack of holiness. Where do you want to start? AIDS? Alcoholism? Drugs? Disease? Genocide?

God requires holiness in order to enter His gates....
And Christ has provided that Holiness on the cross for us......
None of us could ever be perfect or holy in the here and now......but in heaven, we will put on the robe of righteousness and be holy.

Yes, that's why everybody is.
The Baptist are part of the Protestant group. as such, they are declared heretics. That's hardly holy at all, it's the opposite in fact...

I wonder who makes that judgment.
Who says you are Holy or not?
Is it you that makes it.
Is it the people around you?
Do you have to wait to get to heaven before you find out.
What are the qualification to Holiness?
