In Canada, Ontario is issuing 7-digit plates as well. 6 is still plenty in Manitoba, but personalized plates can be ordered with up to 7.

No, many states have gone to 7 digits or places in the plates.
Among them are OK, TX, and CA that I'm sure of.

A standard plate in washington has 3 numbers and 3 alphabets and a dash. (123-ABC). A personalized plate could take up all 7 digits. (ABCDEFG)

No, here in CA you can have seven letters or digits. Plus there are extra characters of a hand, heart, star, and one other one I forget. :o)

correction, in new york, the limit is eight figures, pluss any personal logos that you want to pay extra for on the plate.
