Just tell her you don't wanna go. Be frank about it, so that you don't have to make any more excuses in the future. Tell her why you don't like him so don't ask any more questions. If you have no guts to tell them, just say you don't have any money for the trip. So you will either stay home, or get a free vacation ride ;) Who knows, a miserable trip can turn into something exciting like, meeting a gorgeous scottish guy.

I think it's time you tell your mom the truth - or try to work things out with your brother. Family is the most important thing, and through communication and understanding most differences can be worked out. If you don't want to work anything out with your brother, it's time to tell your mom that you don't want to visit him. Let her know how you feel about him and why. After that, she may not pressure you to go see him.

You don't say how old you are. There comes a time when honesty is the best policy, unless of course we are talking about me. I live in Scotland and my family live in England. I see them every 5 years or so. That'll do nicely.

Tell them you have no clothes, no suitcases, no money, no passport, nothing, you have absolutely nothing and just cannot think about visiting anyone. As them can they GIVE you all these things? Tell them you've been wanting to send them lists of what you need but you need stamps, envelopes, paper and pens too.

Say you can't get the time off of work. If that doesn't work just tell her it's her who wants to visit and not you. If you are an adult she can't make you. If you are underage, you're going.
