They are usually better behaved, and easier to train. They like being part of a pack, as it's more natural for them. A lone dog will try to look to you for pack information, and feel lost when you give the wrong signals.

We have an 8 year old dog, last Auguest we go a puppy. The older dog took care and seem happy to have a dog to play with. The puppy died last month, the dog seems lost.
The Advantage of having to dogs, is they have someone to play with, cuddy up with, when you are not home
We are think about getting another puppy, but have not decided.
If you can care for two, you dog should be happy
Not all dogs will be happy, like people, some dogs like being by themself.
Good luck

Having two dogs over one is a big responsibility but two dogs living together increases each dog's confidence, also both of the dogs can learn how to settle with other dogs.
Two dogs living together is FUN(get out the vacuum cleaner!).
Mainly what having two dogs mean,
that you have double of everything one dog does.
double the FUN
double the LOVE
double everything in between!
Bye! Hope this helps!

Dogs do love dog company. Sure some argue and don't get along, just like any other mammal including us. This whole idea that dogs "need human companionship" is pretty wacko. Dogs are just as happy with dogs, it depends on what they are used to and their inherent personality. So many dogs find lots of company in other dogs. And it is a whole lot of fun watching them interact too. They even play tricks on each other.Smart little devils, sometimes tricking each other out of dinner.

We've always had more than one dog at a time and they seem to enjoy always having another dog to play with. It also helps them become a little more social snce they are exposed to another animal all the time. Of course having 2 does mean a little more money for food and vaccinations and all that but it's worth it.

Dogs are pack animals and truly need and enjoy the company of their own species. They tend to exercise together too which helps the human companions who are short on time.

The biggest advantage is= they have each other. They are pack animals ,and they keep each other company, if you have to leave them home alone ,This is the very best thing you can do for your furry friends !

They are good company for eachother! When you're not home they will entertain one another. I think every animal should have a friend. Would you rather be alone, or have a pal? Sometimes animals need one of their own kind with them, and this can help them to live longer, and healthier lives.

Lots of things. They can keep each other company when you are gone and they can play together plus it is more fun walking 2 dogs than just one IMO.

I would suggest getting them opposite sexes. Two females will compete for alpha female and two males will want to be the alpha males. One of each is perfect, makes for happier, non-competitive dogs. We had two dogs, got a female puppy, and our male dog died, so now we have two females competing, which is a bit annoying. They compete over really stupid things, like who can sit closer (on top) of me while I read, who gets into my son's bed first when he goes to bed (for some reason this is of vast importance), who gets their snack first, etc.. Of course, the older of the two is always given first pet, first snack, etc., but its a constant battle and having two 70 to 80 lb. dogs fighting over who is closer to you gets on one's last nerve. None of those problems when we had one male and one female.
They play together well, and the younger one keeps the older one exercised, which makes her healthier.
