The better question is "Does Bush care what the rest of the world (and less than half of America) think of him?" He stands on principle, not polls. History will view him favorably. No president goes through two terms without make some mistakes, even some huge ones.

Do you even realize that Bush is not the only president that has been hated by people in the rest of the world. Pretty much every president has had some hate from people in other countries. Bill Clinton wasn't exactly a popular president with the world either. You really think the rest of the world didn't see him as a joke after the Monica Lewinski scandal?

unlike other people from other countries he actually stands up for what he believes in and doesn't back down, thats what i like in a president, what did clinton do when the trade center got bombed the first time? or the US embassies? a big fat NOTHING because he didn't want to "offend" anybody, i like a president who's not a weenie

I love your question. I doubt that most of the american public knows how the rest of the world sees our current administration. I have family in Ireland and Germany and they ask me all the time we why elected such a monkey. The rest of the world thinks America is very backward. And the american public just keeps on smiling...

Not relevant. Bush is doing what he thinks is correct under the circumstances, and I agree with much (but by no means all) of his policies. It is not his job to be swayed by public opinion (especially uneducated) -- it is his job to lead.
