I just up graded my self I was using hand call or my Johnny Stewart tape caller.
The older I get the least I like to pack it around due to weight.
It took a while to make up my mind to pay the FOXPRO price but it has features that the others do not and I like that I can download from my PC the sounds I wont and need and it has a 7 year warranty.
Do I feel that I compromised or joined the band wagon no, we are hunters that evolve with the sport.
I still use my hand calls quite often just to stay in practice and it’s fun, but the advantages of the predator looking for the source of the sound will get the hand caller busted from time to time.
If you stop to consider the coyotes that have been educated by inexperienced callers are the hardest to get, for they have learned the lesson well.
I notice that when I started using the electronic calls I started to bring more older matured coyotes to bag.
I make my set up so I am 100 yards or more down wind of my call and an not in the sight picture of the coyotes that are looking for the free meal, and at this distance the smarter ones circling to check the breeze for the sent of danger.
I would say we are evolving right along with the predators we hunt.
I would say the FOXPRO is the best all around but the down side is it’s price 2 to 3 times as high as the others on price.
But it depends on do you wont long range remote and programmable, if so then FOXPRO.
Burnhan Brothers also have a remote but I am not sure of its range but it is cheaper but also has less features then the FOXPRO.
If not then Johnny Stewart non remote, Phantom non remote and many others to pick from.

That my opinion, and advise.

Sorry I for got I had this you may wont to look at, it’s on how to make your own E-Call

FOXPROS are one of the best, if not the best, but for the price, im never going to get one. My best friend has a Johnny Stewart and it was cheap, and works pretty well. I personally love my hand calls because they have alot cleaner, clearer sound and get higher pitched. Yes, they can bust you sometimes, but thats why you just really pay attention and hope you see him fore he sees you.

Make sure its legal to use in your state. Because here in Arkansas electronic calls are sold at Wal-Mart and all the sporting goods stores as "training aids". If a game warden catches you with one in the woods you just got a hefty fine.
