There's nothing scary about college. You can actually be yourself without getting picked on (like in high school/ middle school). There are usually lots of activities or clubs to join where you get to express your likes & talents. Most importantly, you're dedicating the next few years to working toward your future (which is why you're going to college in the first place), so have fun, but be serious & do your work also! I liked it. The hard work/ projects were worth it. I made a lot of friends there, had a lot of fun, & have a good degree behind me!

oh dont be scared college is great its your schedule and your life and plus there aren't any clicks and if there are any on campus you never see them again cus of the mass amount of people but it can be hard to move away so what you want to do is the second you get there start talking to people and dont stop talking to anyone new for 2 months straight.

whenever i am somewhere new i go up to the first nice lookin person and say hi and ask them where something is or say i love your outfit of stuff like that it makes leaving your home town much easier

and one other thing in college the guys aren't stupid if you smile and hold there gaze a little longer than a friend would they will come running that's all i have to do to get a date here lol oh and join clubs all the clubs you can you make tons of friends there good luck girl and dont forget to always be smiling

college is great!
I'm not a big party girl, but meeting new people is wonderful. i know what you mean that your a bit scared about going off to college but trust me it's an experience that you'll forget. The people, the work, the environment, the professors, the late night studies, the cute boys... it's all worth it!
have fun!

College is alright, it all depends on what school you're going to. You also want to make sure the school offers programs that you're interested in. Getting involved is the best way to meet new people and it'll help you adjustment from high school to college a little easier. Good luck!!!!!!!!

Dont worry about it.... Im a first year in college and im only 16 yrs old and im doing fine. If a 16 year old can adjust then i think u can too. =) College is hard but rewarding at the same time.

i'm in college. it's normal to be scared. you're moving somewhere new, into the next phase of your life. its also normal to be intimidated, but just know that all of the freshmen at your new school are in teh same boat, and that you are just as qualified as they are, or you wouldn't have gotten in. It's like any other time at school, except its more relaxed and your opinion means more to your professors. you'll be fine.

AWESOME! Your going to have the best time ever- trust me its much better than high school. And the work might seem impossible to you now but dont worry you can do it! But remember to that it is alright to be nervous because everyone is on their first day!

Perhaps you should post this over in the Education area (I think there's a category for higher education) instead of Singles & Dating.

Good luck on your new chapter in life.
