Hello, sansan! Form 540, 540A, and 540 2EZ each have a "C1" next to the form number, so the "C1" isn't really part of the form name.

I'm surprized that the taxing authorities had not caught up with you. I don't know about Canada, but there is a statute of limitation of tax return filing. It's 3 years in the US. Find it out in Canada. Go to a professional chartered tax accountant or tax attorney and have them prepare your tax returns for the years you have remaining. In the US, you would be filing the current tax year 2008 and preceding 3 years 2007, 2006 and 2005. Since you had paid in taxes every pay period, chances are that you might be required to pay only late filing penalties for the 3 preceding years. If you had taxes due on some of these years, you could end up paying penalty as well as interest on the amounts due. Do the right thing and remember to do it every year. If you don't want to do the preparation yourself, pay the pro who prepares for you.
