For example you need a heart transplant and the only way you can get one is if someone else dies so is it ok that you pray for a heart transplant even though someone has to die for you to get one?

Prayer doesn't work. From an moral standpoint, I don't think that any one life has more value than another, so it is wrong to hope that someone will die so that you might live.

In that situation I don't think it's wrong. You could pray that God 'chooses' to let someone die so that you can get the heart transplant. Supposedly, everything happens for a reason and you can pray that things work out in your favor even though someone may have to die for it to work out. If there is a God, he would understand exactly what you mean when you're praying for someone to die. He would know that it's not because you're a jerk, you just want to live and get a heart.

Praying for someone to die just because you hate them is a little messed up though.

I don't think so. People are gonna die regardless, so the person or you should just pray for a transplant. I don't think praying for people to die will make them die any quicker. People die when their time is up and only then regardless of how. So, if you do need a heart transplant, keep your hopes up and pray for a matching donor!

Yes it is wrong to pray for someone to die, but you pray for God's will to be done...if need be He will make sure not that someone dies but that there will be a heart transplant when it is needed or give peace to the person in need of the transplant.

Not if they are suffering.

I think praying for a heart transplant is merely praying that someone will be kind enough to donate their heart upon death, not that someone will die. Clearly, people die all the time. It's the donation part that you'd need some help with.

In your case yes its wrong. The only way I see any "right" in praying for someone's death is to end their ongoing physical pain of a terminal disease.

We all have wishes at times though...for a heart for you or because some one has hurt us bad. The best thing to do is simply to pray that God's will be done.

Yes. If it is meant for you to have that heart then you will get it otherwise you getting it is not because you prayed for someone to die.

Thinking pray is not the right word..not sure how your God would like that. But say you wished a really Bad person died...like really bad, ex: child molester, ect....thats maybe not so bad.....But then again would you want that person's heart?????

Pray, nothing changes, if you are destined to get it, it will happen, but not because you prayed.

Um...in a nut shell....

Yes.

God knows the heart (no pun intended)......pray according to His will...and not our own.
