i was thinking about pickles and felt that scientifically they are just like any other vegetable that we eat for food. they too have spices and oils in them. i think its just that they have excess of oil and/or salt in them which gives them long shelf life. isn't it true?

I do know that pickles are the greatest **** ever invented! (Dill only!)

I don't think it counts as a vegetable... dietarily speaking... that would be like considering chocolate covered rasins a fruit... as far as scientifically... yes. A vegetable is a vegetable.
