Install another DVD player program in your computer. Or try RealPlayer. It's better.

You cant always trust windows media player..they're always finding this and that fault so the best thing is to install another dvd appliance but it has to supplied with video decoder card. When you switch on the DVD player it should display a few code numbers. The code numbers refer each zone or area of a country. I dont know what code number is for USA but for me in the UK IS 5.

Go to www.download.com and do a search for a 'codec pack'. Se if you can find Windows Media Player Classic to play the DVD.

Windows does not ship with a DVD front end. Bill Gates is too cheap to include it. Get either Cyberlink Power DVD or Intervideo WinDVD. They are the two most popular DVD front ends for Windows.

You need a DVD player application such as PowerDVD, WinDVD or OpenDVD, to name a few. OpenDVD is freeware so give it a try. If you want to play DVD in Windows media player, MS wants you to buy the coded.
