If you want pasta tonight, then go ahead and prepare that. I like to boil mine in extremely salty water so that the flavor transfers to the pasta. Now, you grill/broil/fry (however you like) some shrimp, mussels or tuna for your fiance. Keep it on a back burner on Warm or Low, just to hold the heat in, while you start on yours. Use steak or chicken or beef, whichever you prefer. A good recipe: Shrimp Linguine ( http://food.yahoo.com/recipes/kraft/68993/quick-shrimp-and-linguini;_ylt=AnVd.eOV3Z6lTdUmPlONdwBIY.Y5 ) in which you can substitute the shrimp with chicken for you. Also, you could try cooking with pork, duck, lamb, turkey, veal, wild game or bean/legumes. There are so many options out there, and its an adventure every time you try something new! Here's a recipe right off the bat that you might like, but you should also try the links I put below to browse for yourself. You know your tastes better than anyone!
White Bean and Olive Pomodoro Pasta
8 ounces whole-wheat pasta shells, tubetti, ziti or rigatoni
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
1 (15 ounce) can cannellini beans, rinsed
1 large clove garlic, minced
1 pound ripe tomatoes, diced
1/4 cup oil-cured black olives, pitted and chopped
1/2 cup sliced fresh basil
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
Freshly ground pepper to taste
1/4 cup grated Pecorino Romano cheese
Put a large pot of water on to boil. Cook pasta, stirring occasionally, until just tender, 8 to 10 minutes or according to package directions. Drain.
Meanwhile, heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add beans and garlic; cook, stirring frequently, until the beans are just heated through, 2 to 3 minutes. Remove from the heat. Add tomatoes, olives, basil, salt and pepper. Stir gently to combine. To serve, divide the pasta among 4 plates and top with sauce and cheese.
Again, I've added a few links to sites you may find helpful in your search for meal harmony. Good luck!

If you want to eat truly healthy, lose body fat consistently, normalize your blood pressure, cholesterol levels, prevent cancer, and even boost your brain health and energy levels, you may have heard all over the news that the Paleo Diet has been found to be one of the best methods of achieving all of these benefits compared to any other popular "fad" diets out there. Go here https://bitly.im/aNDyD
The truth is that the Paleo Diet will never be considered a fad because it's just simply the way that humans evolved to eat over approximately 2 million years. And eating in a similar fashion to our ancestors has been proven time and time again to offer amazing health benefits, including prevention of most diseases of civilization such as cancer, heart disease, alzheimers, and other chronic conditions that are mostly caused by poor diet and lifestyle. One of the biggest misunderstandings about the Paleo Diet is that it's a meat-eating diet, or a super low-carb diet. This is not true

PASTA WITH ZUCCHINI AND CREAM
(for 2 people)
Ingredients: 180 g pasta (any short size pasta, I used penne rigate), 1 small zucchini, 150 ml cream, Pamigiano Raggiano cheese (as much as you like), fresh basil (as much as you like), extra-virgin olive oil, salt.
Wash and cut zucchini in thin slices. Put them in a pan with a bit of extra-virgin olive oil and salt, cook until they are soft. In the mean while cook pasta. Add cream into the pan with zucchini and cook until it is absorbed. Add chopped fresh basil, grated Parmigiano Reggiano and salt if necessary. When pasta is “al dente” mix it with zucchini sauce and stir very well before serving

Shrimp and Portobello Mushroom Fettuccine
INGREDIENTS
1 (16 ounce) package dry fettuccini noodles
3/4 cup butter, divided
1 pound baby portobello mushrooms, sliced
1 large onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
4 ounces cream cheese
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 pint whipping cream
1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese, divided
2 pounds medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup green onions, chopped
DIRECTIONS
Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to boil. Add pasta, and cook until al dente, about 8 to 10 minutes. Drain, and set aside.
Meanwhile, heat 1/4 cup butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Stir in mushrooms, and cook until soft. Remove mushrooms, and set aside. Wipe out skillet.
Heat 1/2 cup butter in the skillet over medium-high heat. Stir in onions, and cook until soft and translucent. Stir in garlic, and cook 1 minute. Add cream cheese, and cook until melted.
Reduce heat to medium low, and stir in flour, whipping cream, and 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese. Stir in shrimp, and season with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook until shrimp are pink and sauce thickens, about 3 minutes. Remove from heat. Fold mushrooms, green onions, and fettuccine into sauce. Sprinkle with remaining 1/4 cup Parmesan, and serve.

It looks like that leaves pasta. Although, you can look into trying out some vegetarian dishes.
