The Bible says to try the spirits to see if they are of God. If you know your Bible, you will be able to tell that 99% of what you see and hear on TV is not the truth but merely money making schemes and all such will be judged by God for leading mass millions of people astray. Just because someone is a nice person does not mean he is telling the truth. If you want to see a truthful program or 2 watch Keys to the Kingdom or In Search of the Lord's Way. Both of these are truthful programs and tell you what you need to do to be saved the right way. Do not ever send anyone on TV any money, if you do, you are supporting their work and you will be just as guilty as they are.

I do believe that some of them are in it just for the money. However, I know some are genuine in their faith. For example, Rick Warren, author of The Purpose Driven Life, is the pastor of a mega church, which has thousands of attenders, he gives 90% of his earnings back to the ministry.

I guess I don't think televangelist should be asking for money, I chose to donate to charities in non monetary ways, like volunteering. God will supply their needs, they don't need to beg from people, but that's just my opinion.

I suspect that some tvevengelists are in it for the money; some are not currently. (Reminder; sons of Sceva). Presently, I will let God decide who has a proper motive regarding the issue (1 Samuel 16:7).
Do I currently watch any of them? Yes, a few of them. As for sending them money currently; that varies presently.

I believe some to be genuine servants of the Lord who are trying to spread His message. Those people are few and far between however. It is a rotten shame. I think a lot of them are into it for money, fame and self promotion.

"One on one, I certainly have yet to fulfill the Christian who approves of televangelists taking great element approximately Christians with the intention to enhance themselves." have you ever yet to fulfill "the Christian" who donates to such televangelists? My guess isn't any --- using fact as a proportion of all Christians, purely a somewhat small huge style donate to the "wealthy televangelist" varieties -- and many of those are senior electorate and close-ins who you're probably much less probably to be attentive to. there are various such donors who experience lonely and count on such human beings to "befriend them". they actually evaluate the preacher a answer to their seize 22 difficulty -- and that they'd actually have confidence that their present gets accelerated via God (using fact they don't be attentive to sufficient with reference to the Bible to be attentive to in any different case.) =======================================... of path, we will additionally ask why people who do no longer approve of the existence (or maybe steroid abuse) of professional athletes who make extensive fortunes -- and yet they help enhance them via paying the inflated fees of stadium tickets and/or watch them on television(and purchase the beer that helps the promoting that helps the revealed that helps their salaries that buys their steroids. So why %. out only wealthy televangelists????

Not all of them....

People like Charles Stanley and Michael Youssef are genuine.

Then there are people like Creflo Dollar, Benny Hinn, Joel Osteen and the "purpose driven life" guy.........

Don't get me started on them.....those guys are so soft in their Theology it's not even funny anymore.
