well that's a hard decision. but you say one day all diseases will have a cure. now is that day tomorrow? next week? i personally don't think there is a cure for everything. i wish there was, but i'm sure more, different problems will arise in days to come. like a whole new disease. am i pessimistic? no. i do think that some day a lot of the diseases today will me discovered. but do i think that all problems will go away? we can only hope. also, wat is your question, anyways? is it what we would do? well i don't think we have all the details. can the boy do anything at all? is just surviving worth living at all? what i mean is, will he just be stuck in a bed all his life, experiencing pain day and day again. if there's no cure, there probably won't be one for YEARS if any at all. so is it really fair to have the boy suffer? i would say to put him out of his misery. if he can never be happy and is always suffering, then how is that better than death? it's selfish if you let him suffer. it sounds like you just don't want the boy to die. regardless of the pain he is feeling. it's a tough decision and i hope i'd never have to make that choice

Sorry, but being in a war in Iraq is a life or death situation. Rushing into a burning building to save people is a life or death situation. You being too shy to talk to a girl is your own problem. You can actually fix it but won't.

The problem isn't that you're shy. The problem is that you're insecure and afraid of failure. The girl will see this insecurity, and reject you, which you inherently know, which is why you're afraid to approach her in the first place.
The real question is to understand why you are insecure.
