That doesnt sound very professional on the teachers part.. if your daughters friend recorded something like that you can go above the principal, and go right to the school board and have this teacher removed from the school. I wouldn't just let that go I would do something..

Bringing the law into this at this time is ridiculous!! The teacher should not be talking to the class about your daughter, but teachers do discuss problem children between themselves. However, I find it hard to believe your daughter is totally innocent in this matter. What started the teacher talking about your daughter in the first place??? Have you even asked her??? To many parents think "their child" is perfect and could not be part of the problem. Keep an open mind on this, go to the school, have a meeting with the principal and teacher together and get to the bottom of this! Bringing the law into this matter should be used as a last resort!!

How old is your daughter? Not that this is particularly relevant. That is disgusting! this teacher has absolutely no right to discuss your daughter with her classmates. The teacher may have talked to a colleague regarding your daughter if he/she was worried about your daughter, but otherwise there is no excuse. If you have talked to the principal and he/she has done nothing about this, contact the school authority and explain to them your worries and make a complaint about the teacher (and others if they are picking on your daughter). I'm afraid the only other solution could be to remove your daughter from the school, which isn't fair on her if she is the innocent party in this and she has friends at the school. I'm so sorry to hear this. Let me know how you get on.

Ok first i have to address doto(whatever), it makes no difference what if anything the child has or is doing, The TEACHER should be a professional and at no time do you ever ridicule or talk about a child to their peers. If she was havin problems with the child and needed to speak with other teachers to get to suggestions on how to deal with a situation, that should have been done without names and in a professional manner. This child now has to move on to these other teachers who will prejudge her and therefore give her no change to be who she is.

Mom, take your concerns to the principal, super and school board. If nothing is done at this level then you should definetly speak to an attorney and find out what you options are. There is never never never a time to discuss a child with her peers or any other child. She is suppose to be a professional, which she apparently has no clue what is. She needs to be fired and have her teaching degree revoked.

Best of luck and let us know how things turn out.

Go to the next step up! If the principal wont address the problem you can go to the school district. You expect an apology from the teacher to your daughter and an immediate stop to that kind of treatment. Let them know that you have it on tape and if the situation is not addressed you will contact an attorney. This is something you need to go right at the throat on. Dont let them give you the run around. You can usually get an attorney consult for free and they can give you an idea of what your legal rights are in the state you live in. If the school district doesnt step in I would go the legal route. Nothing gets peoples attention quicker than a lawsuit.

This is awful........I agree with Cari.. you need to take this above the school it self.. This teacher has an issue with this child for some unknown reason.. THAT IS NOT NORMAL.... as for the colleagues what the HELL are they thinking?? I would also get a lawyer. Someone needs to take a tape recorder to school to prove it also. Media is a good one too put this too a stop.. I know there are other teachers who do this.. maybe more children and parents will come forward. This cant be the first child she has picked on there has to be more.

I'm so sorry for your daughter... poor thing no one should have to put threw that.. they are giving her a complex.. this is mental abuse.

Time to go to the Superintendent. If he doesn't do something, take the recording and any other information you have and go before the school board. The teacher is breaking all kinds of ethical rules. Not to mention probably some legal privacy issues. I'm mom to 3.

Id record as much as I could, get any recordings made. Then get a lawyer and sue. Also Id go to the broad of education with the recording the friend made and have that teaches job. Id sue the country for the teachers actions and the prinicples lack of control/ actions. Youd win too the teacher doing this is abuse.

you have a recording of her doing this? i wouldn't stop till i had answers. if you aren't getting the answers you want from the principal, then call the district office and set up an appointment.

if your daughter is breaking down then you need to do something fast.

what does your daughter do that irritates the teacher so much? if you could find out maybe you guys could work on fixing that problem too.

teachers are human too. personalities often conflict. i hope you guys can work something out.

You might want to consider moving your child to another class or even another school. Depending upon how old your daughter is this sort of negativity could drastically affect what she thinks about school in the future.
It's unfortunate that her teacher is displaying such a unprofessional attitude.
