Pick em up and remove the rug.

Try not to laugh, establish how badly hurt they are (e.g. probably not a good idea to move them if they broke a bone)......... help them up, call the Doctor (or an ambulance, depending how bad it is).

Have them checked out, then get rid of that rug. If they want you to, help them find other unsafe conditions in their home and fix them. Do with their permission only! They are adult people and have a right to their privacy.

If you are a careworker then you need to report it to your supervisor and it's got to go into an accident book. Also, have the injured person checked out by a doctor just to make sure he/she is not hurt. Old people can hurt themselves easily and it takes them longer to heal.

help them up check for damage ask if any pains, also get some double sided tape so you can temporarily adhere rug to floor.

from reading the other questions u posted u dont sound like ur responsible enough to be caring for someone else. quit mistreating the elderly and pay attn to ur job of caring for them.

If there hurt call the doctor or ambulance.If there alright help them up then sit them on a chair & make a nice cup of tea.

get them checked out at their GP surgery for fractured/broken bones. He will be happy to refer you to an occupational therapist for advice on safety in the home.
