I'm not a Catholic, as you know JC, but looks like you have something in common with me, you understand water baptism should be done with full immersion, just as Jesus was baptized. (Mark 1:9,10 "In the course of those days Jesus came from Naz´a·reth of Gal´i·lee and was baptized in the Jordan by John. 10 And immediately on coming up out of the water he saw the heavens being parted, and, like a dove, the spirit coming down upon him."
Nice.

Well at least someone gave you some scripture. That's surprising.Hebrews 10:24 is talking about the sprinkling of the blood. Not baptism. We are to bury something that is dead. When we are "born again" thats something that catholics think is confirmation, but is not. Born again is when someone who has reached an age of accountability and repents of their sins. This is when the old man dies and a new man comes forward. Being baptized represents that we have died to self. The act of baptism is saying I am burying the old man and taking part of the resurrection and power of Christ my redeemer Col.2:12, Rom. 6:4.Baptism is to be given only to those who are born again Mark 16:16 less it be a damnation to the one baptized. You would never bury a person who is alive. Just as you should never bury a person who has not repented of sin and dead to this world.
Those that believe in pouring or sprinkling often believe you have to be baptized to be saved. They don't believe in the story about the thief on the cross. Its hard to baptize those on their death beds. For this they rather than to except the fact that we are saved by the blood of Jesus resort to a more convenient way of baptism not caring about what is the will of God.

The baptism/immersion that John the Baptist/Yochanan the Immerser did replaced into very Hebrew/Jewish and the guy went down into the Mikvah/immersion tub & went thoroughly below the water & replaced into cleansed. So now if Yeshua went down into the water, replaced into immersed & got here up out of the water, what makes us think of that we are greater important than Him & make up our very own regulations. by employing the way the guy occurring into the water immerses themselves and the guy status by employing, basically makes specific you do not drown. it is something you for my area decide for to do. you are able to sprinkle all you like after an afternoon in a muddy field, yet you will pass to mattress grimy & foul up the bedding. If finished immersion replaced into sturdy sufficient for my Savior then its sturdy sufficient for me.

I know I will not change your mind, so why do I bother? Where in the Bible does it say that Jesus allows Baptisms to be performed in Chicago? Does this mean I am not really baptized?
Your whole line of reasoning is screwy, to say the least.

Very good question. I'm very interested to know what the Catholics will answer. I'm a firm believer in immersion. For this is what the bible teaches. I know most of my catholic friends don't even read there bible. But it's time they dust them off and try to answer this one. Thank you.

My daughter was baptized Catholic, and she was not "sprinkled"... where do people get this stuff?
Everyone is arguing over semantics... the purpose of baptism is much more important then arguing how much water was used
