I currently have a 3 year membership with Bally's and i do automatic payments each month through my debit account. Wanted to know if i should switch to a credit card. Which is best? Pro and Cons of both options.

To get the rewards, I funnel all my spending through credit cards and just pay off the balance every month (so no interest or fees). This builds my credit as well. There really is no con to this approach.

To quickly see which card will pay you the most for your normal monthly spending, check out the rewards calculator at http://www.creditcardtuneup.com/ .

I'd go with a credit card as long as you pay it in-full and on time every month... The problem I have with a debit card is that if, for some reason, your checking account is low, you may end up getting overdrawn due to the gym membership and unless you have overdraft protection, that could put a major dent in your wallet.

C/C - Not your checking acct, earn pts w/rewards card, can still be paid off w/o interest accuring

D/C - Complete access to your checking acct. I'd consider that a con - what if rates increase and you don't get the notice? That money's gone. I don't think you'd have the problem with the money not being there, but it's something to think about.

DEBIT because it takes the money right away.. Having a credit card u have to pay it later..

I would go credit card. Its always easier to cancel a credit card if there were to ever be a problem with your membership.

Use your credit card if you get miles or something, then just pay it off right away. You'll still be paying the same, but you'll get airmiles or other rewards.
