~~~~tweeds,,,, I've travelled the world and been raised in an Ethnically Mixed family of various skin colors and shades. Skin color causes great divides upon First Impressions,,,,however religion divides deeply after more knowledge is learned about the individual.

I took the liberty to do an experiment.
I found three people.
Person A was the control.
Person B, I dressed him in a nun's habit.
Person C... I chopped him up with an axe.
My results concluded that axes divide people much more efficiently than religion.

Actually the Christian religion unites and unifies people. It is the rejection of faith that causes the destruction. Hitler and Stalin both rejected Christianity and they left a bloody footprint on the annals of history. The Khmer Rouge in Cambodia killed millions because they were socialists and atheists. The Church unified Europe against Muslim invaders and saved Europe from being a backward society as in most Muslim countries, where human rights are considered immoral.

Ignorance divides people more than politics or religion. If people had free access to accurate information about any topic they wish to learn about, there would be a lot less intolerance in the world.

Almost anything can divide people, religion has just as much potential to unite as divide. Sadly many use it more for the latter

apart from religion it is race that divides ppl the most..ppl who grow up in a close knitted community with their own culture will fell a bias to their own ppl....
