Well if anything happens to your child it is a way to help find them or identify them. I have my children's teeth imprint, DNA swabs, fingerprints, and a DVD of them just talking. I hope I never have to break any of that out but if something happens I have items to help the athorities find my baby.

If they go missing the police can track them down easier and they can use the finger prints to find kids that have been missing for years if they turn up.

If your child ever gets lost (god forbid!) the police will have an easier time trying to find hiim.

If your child were to run away, be kidnapped, etc. They would be easier to find with their finger prints on record.

if you live in the hood, and they turn out to be drug dealers or ganbangers it might be easier to catch them since we already have a copy of their finger prints on file. i wouldnt do it. never give out information!!!
