Personally I would never buy a dog, from trader village ,or any other spot .There's lots of puppy mills ,and their dogs are usually over bred, and sickly. People are bringing dogs in from Mexico ,and most of them die in a few days days .Know who you're buying from ,"GO" ,to their home or kennels and inspect your self. Insist on seeing the parents .Other wise, tell the pound what you want ,and they will notify you when they get one in .These dogs have all there shots ,and have been medically checked out . If you have your own vet use him ,or be shopping for one .Ask people who they use and they'll let you know who's a good choice. You're very smart , to have not bought on impulse .This will save you much heart ache ,remember your new dog friend ,will be a member of your family ,take good care of him & he'll have a long happy life ,together with you .

You can never guarantee the health of any animal honey. My friends german shepard had puppies and they were all very hyper and healthy..at first. One puppy died due to heart problems. Very sad and very unforseen. If they look healthy and have everything they need to have before going home with you...then pick out your new best friend! As for the vet..it's your choice. If you've got a pup from a mother that goes to their particular vet, then you could take it there. Beings they have history on the mother and whatnot. You could just as well pick your own that you are comfortable with.
If you find a puppy, I wish you good luck and many years of happiness together! Dogs are amazeing friends.

I bought 2 pugs from the Trader s Village in Houston. I had one for 12 yrs and had to lay her down in 2013 because of oral cancer. The other, I had for 15 yrs. and just laid her down at the end of September. She was diabetic and developed cushings disease. They both were my babies, and I miss them terribly, but they had great lives and brought me many years of happiness. Yes, I do know about puppy mills and what they mean. I know I bought my girls from one, and I don t promote them. I was just lucky.

JR nailed it. This is a puppy mill. They breed/sell several different breeds and always have multiple litters available.

Plus, here's a good rule of thumb: Never buy a puppy at a flea market! These people are selling puppies at a swap meet like they're cheap t-shirts. What does that say about them??

Please look for a responsible breeder for your new puppy!
