I learned im ny high school theology class that in any case of divorce, it is a sin to remarry. WHY??? I think just because something went wrong in a past relationship you shouldnt not be allowed to fall in love again...

Catholics do not recognize divorce. Even if you get one, they still consider you to be married if you were married in the Catholic Church. You can go through the annulment process (after the divorce) and if your reasons are adequate (Just didn't get along isn't adequate) you may be granted an annulment and can therefore re-marry since technically, your first marriage never really existed.

You can remarry within the Church if certain conditions are met. You need to go through the process of annulment, which can take a long time, but if you really want to remarry within the Church it is worth it.
