A good burning software I recommend is Ashampoo Burning. It's 100% free and can be downloaded here: http://bit.ly/1sW27nh
If you want to create a DVD that works on a common DVD player, you definitely need a burning software. Copying the files of the movie as is won't work (If you do so your DVD player will not be able to play the video/movie properly). Ashampoo is a good option for every "burning need". It's reliable and professional, It can be used both for CDs and DVDs and it's very easy to use.

If the ISO report is for DVD, it won't extra healthy on a CD-R. you're genuinely attempting to pour an entire pitcher of water right into a small juice glass - it won't extra healthy. If the ISO is smaller than 4.4GB, then you could use a time-honored DVD+R disc yet whilst it rather is extra effective (like 7.7GB) then you want a twin-layer DVD+R and your DVD+R stress additionally desires to help twin-layer burnable discs. in case your stress does not help twin layer discs, all isn't yet lost. it rather is a probability to a minimum of play the ISO like a DVD on your computing device. there's a loose software noted as Magic Disc, which between different issues, can mount (open) ISO archives and play them like a DVD. it rather is especially ordinary to apply.

I not real sure on this as I have never tried. But, I do know my Burning Software detects my CD/DVD Burner and asks if I want to burn to CD or DVD. I am talking ISO and not something else. I just Burn to CD-R, if it 700 MB or less as it cheaper and I will not need CD-RW. Burn and Close it out.
