That God is real / Jesus Christ / Holy Spirit: The Trinity
"I am the way, the TRUTH, and the life, and no man will see the Father except thru me."
I avoided facing up to the fact that Jesus indeed died for my sins and the sins of all mankind... when I finally accepted that fact, this truth, and placed my sins upon Him as the very last final lamb sacrifice ( just like they really did do in the old testament days)
... I received my salvation.. saved... born again... and God Almighty THEN revealed this truth to me. 100% this is the most real truth placed before mankind. I am so very thankful for that as many times I rejected knowing Him/ accepting this truth... that He did not rejest me. Amen.
Do I follow? I do my best to do so... although I am only human and fail at times.

Be neither a food source or a threat and you will become invisible
In this sense a food source can be a sexual object a prospective labourer - source of money etc.
Threat unfortunately doesn't need an explanation
Do I practise it - Sometimes yes .
It is interesting to dress down so that you could never be of any use to anyone and of course go out of your way to be non threatening and watch yourself become invisible
You can literally go almost anywhere and no one will see you ....
So I guess one of the truths out of that is we really haven't outgrown the reptilian brain as much as we would like to think we have .

The most basic truth I know and can discuss at length w/o confusing the masses: IMPERMANENCE... all things end at some point, and that attachments to things like this don't really bring ultimate happiness, so if you learn to subdue attachments by understanding the impermanent nature of things (which includes matter, thoughts, concepts etc.) you can learn to subdue the suffering in your life.
It's not nihilism and denial... it comes by understanding the real nature of our interconnectedness with everything and you make smarter choices by default. I meditate on this constantly and apply the knowledge.

All of Life's experiences are temporary in nature.
Understanding this fully then is to realise that all we experience including suffering is temporary and fleeting. To cling to any feeling for its own selfish rewards then is to cling to a temporary reality, subject to constant change. Free yourself of clinging self serving desire and embrace desires for other's happiness and happiness itself will ensue. Although this also is temporary for ourselves, the positive Consequences will continue well into the future for all to enjoy. Continue and so will the Consequences.
Live life for all other's benefit.
Peace from a Buddhist...
