JB is correct.

You cannot though catch a 'cold' in your brain. The typical virus that causes a cold are usually one from the group of 'rhino viruses'. They only affect the upper respiratory tract.

To treat some brain tumors they can put a 'shunt' directly into the brain, through a 'burr' hole in the skull that also goes through the multi-layer covering that surround the brain. This way they can introduce chemotherapy drugs/meds directly to the tumors in the brain. This can help with metastasis to prevent cancer cells from forming tumors in the brain , and to treat ones already there.

The Brain is protected by membranes called "the Blood-brain barrier" and "blood-cerebrospinal fluid barrier" Normally they prevents virus from entering the brain, including what is referred to as the "cold" virus. However, that is not always the case. There are some virus that can pass threw these brain barriers and infect the brain, so you can get a viral infection of the brain. So, in a since, your brain can "Catch a cold".

On a side note, the brain barriers are also one of the reasons most chemo-therapy drugs do not work on brain tumors. Some very highly specialized drugs have been recently developed to allow chemo drugs to pass threw these brain barriers.
