People tell me I'm skinny all the time, heck my mother even took me to the doctor cos she thought I was sick or something. She said that I lost weight in a matter of months. I figured she wasnt used to seeing me skinny so thats what worried her, I dont know. Anyways, when I look in the mirror I see a small belly. Do you know people that seem to be thin but they have some fat under their clothes?

How can you be so sure it's not anorexia? If your perception of yourself is different from other people's then there's a problem somewhere!

Everyone, except models and anorexics, has some fat under their clothes. We need it to stay alive and happy!! If you're worried about your belly do some sit-ups, but don't obsess about it ;o)

What you should be concerned with is proportions. If your belly looks a little round, then maybe you need to do some work on your pecs or on your posture generally.

You might consider seeing a osteopath and getting your back re-aligned. I was really pleased with how much neater my belly looked once my posture was sorted out!!

Interesting how many people have assumed you must be female to have a issue about body fat!!!

I have to agree with the last two answers. We are so programmed and conditioned to view skeleton-like models as beautiful, that we have a horrifically distorted view of whats real. What's more important is, are you getting the nutrition your body needs? There's a really good book I read years ago called "breaking out of food jail" I can't remember the author, but one word I remember her using alot was 'enough' .
You are thin enough.
You are beautiful enough.
If everyone is telling you you are skinny and you think you are fat, maybe this is the one instance where 'everybody else is right'.
Just eat a healthy diet and find something else to focus on.

let me guess when you look at your body flat skin looks like its a little puffy and the little pudge just won't seem to go away. sweetie, it's possible and it's common. the problem is you're told your suppose to be a certain way so much that you don't see the beauty in what you really are. Take a magazine with a picture of someone you admire then look at yourself with the same kind of admiration, you'll be surprised how hot you look when you realize no one on earth is as beautiful as you are. and yes we all have fat under our clothes. we have to have between 12-18 percent to live. so that is going to show a little. it's not fat, its health. seriously without the proper amount of fat you can become sick.

Eat only when hungry and that too not more than three times a day. Include uncooked fruits and vegetables in ur food. Take nothing but water in between the meals.

Chew each morsel at least 32 times. This improves digestion besides activating ur brain telling u that u have had enough.

Take light exercises and brisk walks regularly preferably twice a day.

U will achieve ur ideal weight in a reasonable time period effortlessly.

Many people are thin yet have a small belly. The middle area is one of the hardest parts of the body to lose weight in. Sit-ups and crunches are great ways to get rid of this little belly.

If you are eating healthy and using exerices as your means of weight loss, that is great. Just keep healthy and try not to obsess over your little belly.

This is where the term perspective comes into play. You yourself may have a negative self image. This just means that you can't see the beauty that all humans naturally have inside them. Just take a minute, and think, what do I like or love about myself? Then say that to yourself every day or whenever you feel down about yourself and before you know it you will see the beauty that all your family and friends do now. It takes time but keep at it. Just say it in your mind and then before you know it all the negative thoughts that you had in the past will just melt away.

at the same time as you look in a reflect, you nevertheless have intensity conception. Your eyes can and may leap to sides that stand out, as consistent including your own self photograph. in case you consider you've acceptable eyes, you may also capture your self observing at your human being eyes in the reflect. a photograph on the different hand is effectively a 2 dimensional representation of a few issue that's 3 dimensional, so indiviual good factors received't be straightforward to focal aspect on. Ever see a television or action picture movie star in personality? they tend to look rather diverse. Stand back from the reflect, hide one eye, and look at your total face. it will look slightly most suitable.

It could be Body Dysmorphic Disorder or a lack of confidencewith your body. I'd would reccomend that you talk to your doctor but in the mean time, here is a website where you can learn more about it.

anorexia makes people that are very thin still see themselves as fat. maybe you should do a little research on that.
