Dear Ashley,
I couldn't tell much about you by looking at your profile but this sounds very much like the questions that Watchtower Witnesses ask on YA every day. If I am wrong, please forgive me because I don't mean to be judgmental.
I know that you will get lots of ridiculous answers to this question because I've been seeing the same ridiculous answers day after day on this type of question.
No weapon but the TRUTH. If you don't know it then don't answer the door.
Study the Bible so you can share the Truth with those who knock on your door. They do not know it even though they desperately need it. They only know what the Watchtower tells them the Bible says rather than what the Bible really says.
I saw this question on Laylallu's profile and even though I haven't yet read her answer, I do know that she gives excellent answers. So listen to her.

There are a number of different tactics you could use.
1. A thumbtack on the doorbell
2. A sign saying "No visits from the Jehovah's Witness cult please".
3. Tell them that they are false prophets and that God has ordered you not to listen to anything they say without the Bible being on hand and open for me to refute what you say.

Love is the best weapon. Open the door smile and let them talk for a few minutes. Then you can ask them about their organization and if they have made any false prophesies since they have been established. Ask them to check their old publications on the "Before 1914" prophesy. There are website that actually carry old publications. After about 5-7 minutes, they will either get converted or never come back.

They don't want to offend the neighbors, so usually telling them you'd rather not have anyone from their church visit again will take care of it. Some hard-headed folks may try to be more pushy -- like over-eager Girl Scouts filling their cookie quota. If that happens, call the church (look it up in the phone book). Finally, get a "beware of dog" sign and put a big dog bowl and metal-studded leash outside the door.

At times, a question such as this will elicit dozens and dozens of elaborate schemes to spare a householder an unwanted conversation with Jehovah's Witness door-to-door ministers.
All such schemes are a complete and utter waste of time!
Many of your neighbors have figured it out, and it's really quite simple:
1. Open the door
2. Smile (optional)
3. Ask "Jehovah's Witness?"
4. Receive affirmation
5. Say, "Thank you, but I'm not interested"
6. Gently close the door (slamming is rude, but your prerogative)
Please recognize that Jehovah's Witnesses are not primarily interested in converts, but in working to obey Jesus' command to preach (Matt 24:14; Matt 28:19,20).

You could request that we not come to your domicile again. We will make periodic checks since people do move but we have no desire to waste time, your's or our's.
By the way, explaining your beliefs won't make us want to leave. Starting a conversation on belief will do just that, it will start a conversation.
Also we DO believe Jesus to be God's son.

INSTRUCTIONS ON WHAT TO DO ABOUT DOOR KNOCKERS
The best way to learn what to do to stop JWs is to contact a synagogue and talk to the Rabbi.
Ask him how the ancient Jews got rid of the Christian Jews when they went from house to house telling their brethren that the beliefs, rituals, and holiday observances that they have followed for hundreds of years was no longer valid?
I’m sure they had ways to get rid of the members of this cult started by a Jewish lower class, and uneducated Carpenter, who was executed for cause by the governing authority. These followers were also of the Jewish lower class, and uneducated, such as Peter, a failed fisherman, and Matthew, a tax hated collector.
Lacking any kind of education, let alone advance religious education, it was clear they were easily brainwashed into believing that the uneducated ex-carpenter was somehow the Messiah, which was clearly false as his had not destroyed (Armageddon) the enemies of the true people of God, as was foretold.
Saul of Tarsus, a highly educated individual in the religious arts, repeatedly proved they were a false religious sect and cult, creating their own scriptures (Bible) instead of relying on the Holy Torah, which had been used by the Jews for hundreds of years. He stood by as the true believers of God stoned these so-called Christians for their door to door activities and spreading of false doctrine.

So, just take a lesson from the ancient Jews. What worked for them against the Christian cult should work against the JWs.

I have had wonderful results inviting them in and witnessing to them. When they learn the Truth of God's Word they become your friend in Christ rather than a JW knocking on your door. Love and patients is the key.
BE BLESSED & REJOICE IN THE LORD!

I'm a Christian, but I think that they think people like us are going to Hell. They want to protect us from that. While I thoroughly disagree with them, I appreciate their concern, and instead of thinking of the door-knocks as an annoyance, I think of it as a compliment. Gee... they care that much about my soul!

Ask them not to return to your home...politely. They mean you no harm, and if your are absolutely not interested, they will not return while they are working your area. Sometimes at a later date they may go back through the territory and if they do just simply tell them you are still not interested. It only takes a moment of your time.
