I know someone who is still driving even though they have been banned for 12 months & has had a fine. I was just wondering what would happen to him if the police found out e.g. would he go to prison?

They'd likely remove his license I would guess. Or charge him criminally if he doesn't have one.

I say report him, even anonymously. You don't need to be an accomplice to an accident waiting to happen.

Yesterday there were at least 3 questions on here from people who had been charged with driving on a suspended license. Their license had been taken from them for various reasons and they had all gotten caught driving. Your friend will have to go to court and could serve some jail time. I would not let them drive my car and I wouldn't ride with them. If they get pulled over it could be just a ticket or an arrest. It all depends on the cop and the judge. Tell your friend to get out of the car and to hand over the keys.

If it bothers you or the person is a menace to the neighborhood, report it to the police and he'll be watched and maybe lose his license for good

Yes, prison is a possibility.

This is a good case for why some people cannot be trusted and need to be put in jail.
