I AM GOING TO FAMILY AND DIVORCE COURT IN NY,the judge wants a pyhcologist to evalue my wife because I think she bi polar, I think only a pyshcitrist is qualified to make a judgement,I don't want this to fall through the cracks, she was on all kinds of medication over the years, most recent Lexipro-which she stopped abruptly......I want the court to veiw my {soon to be ex} wifes decision makeing/emotional skills in the the right context.1st and foremost that when she came at me with a knife she was out of control, thus the justification of me pyshically stopping her,the police arrested me even though my daughter said "Daddy was defending himself".....now I battling in family court....soon to be in criminal court.I WILL bring this to trial,I need documentation from a doctor, which one? any input is appreciated......no bullshit answers "guys"- thanks

I would use a psychiatrist for this rather than a pscychologist simply because the psychiatrist has a higher licensure and more education.
