Problem inserting documents in Adobe Acrobat?

I have 7 individual Adobe .pdf files. I am trying to merge them into 1 single document. After I insert each individual file, 3 of the pages come out garbled in the merged document. I am using Adobe Acrobat 5.0. Is this a font problem? How do I create a readable .pdf document using the individual files?

Something is wrong with your software. I am not sure if 5.0 has a repair tool. Check the Help menu for Detect and Repair.
