I'm trying to install my scanner on windows vista, when I try to run the disc a message comes up reading;;
you must have administrator level in order to install this software, click ok to continue installation.

When I click ok, nothing happens and I've check my account settings and it is set to administrator.

help please

You might need new drivers for your scanner. This is the software that talks to your hardware and windows. Find out the make of your scanner, go to their website and download the latest drivers (Vista drivers).

I get the same problem with you when I'm installing my HP all-in-one printer. TRY connecting your scanner on your computer without installing the driver from the disc you have. Vista will detect the scanner and will install itself.
