I used a condom, we were safe about it, but I was off of birth control, and we had sex about 2 weeks before my period. Now my period is about two days late, I was freaking out, so I took a pregnancy test. The results were negative, however, I'm still scared about it. I'm not sure if I'm just stressing myself out about it, because I checked to make sure with him that the condom didn't break, and all that... but I've heard that you can stress your body into believing it's pregnant. I don't have any of the symptoms, except pressure in my abdomen. I figure that's normal when it comes to having your period anyway. I've talked to my fiance about it, and he'll be happy either way. I'm more worried about my parents. If anyone has any advice they can give me, that'd be awesome. Also, previously I had scheduled a ob/gyn appointment for early April, it's the earliest I could find. Thanks again!

Condoms are only something like 97% successful so, even though you used one, it might have had a small hole or something in it. A home pregnancy test won't always show a positive during early pregnancy. The best thing you can do right now is not to stress about it and wait a few days and take another test if you still haven't gotten your period. Two days isn't all that late and you could still get it.

I think the odds are in your favor. It's probably just stress that's making you late. Two weeks ought to be enough time to test positive if you were. Of course, I don't know your size, but if you're very small (like 105 lbs or less) it can interfere with your period. So can excessive exercise. I know how agonizing the waiting is!! Sounds like even if you are pregnant, you have a supportive partner, but I'd say you're most likely not.
