Why do some women have a problem with men who have long hair?

Where is it written that men should have short hair or shorter hair than women? This just seems to be a double standard to me.

It is so old school.... People need to except the fact that men can have long hair too. I like it if it is healthy and well maintained. Not everyone can wear it. But those who can should be proud of it. If a women does not like you because you have longer hair then it is for one of two reasons...

1. they are closed minded
2. they are jealous they do not have it lol!

So all you long haired men out there "ROCK ON and DO NOT CHANGE IT FOR ANYONE !!!"

Men have had long hair more than short hair throughout history.
Nowadays one of the reasons you may be coming across this problem is that many women equate a short haired clean shaved man with a good job. $$$ It is a material world we live in.
My husband has long hair and women seem to love it, even ask to touch it. It is some of the older men that seem to be dumb founded as to why he would even consider long hair, like it is associated with rebellion. Remember the Beatles where thought to be long haired rebels by the parents of that time.
What part of the country do you live in? Could that have something to do with it?

Most women are jealous, they dislike what they don't have. Most men that have long hair are sexy/attractive. For me it's only a problem if it's unkept. A nice ponytail is hot. There is definetly a double standard...because men tend to dislike women with very short hair. Women are expected to have hair longer than a man!

I'm old fashion and like a clean-cut, clean shaven man. That's why. I like men to be men and women to be women. But I can't speak for all us ladies, just me.

Women also wear make-up - do you want to do that too? Go ahead, eventually you'll attract a woman who likes long haired, make-up wearing guys... Glam rock was big in the 80's. It's sure to come back again. Hell, that lead singer of Fall Out Boy looks damn hot on the cover of Rolling Stone & he's got that long emo hair & make-up.

I love long hair on men as long as it doesn't look like it's sliding off their head. In fact that is what first attracted me to my husband. Of course that was 18 years ago but I don't think he would have stood out as much to me if it wasn't for his awesome hair catching my eye.

He has short hair now but that's because he works at the fire and sheriffs department.

It's probably because our society views long hair as feminine. There are just as many people out there that don't like short hair on women, as there are those that don't like long hair on men.

i admire adult men with long hair. and only below the ear aint that long. its nonetheless short. yet its no longer unattractive. i knew a guy with long BLONDE hair. his hair became like, much extra clever looking than my own, yet GOSH he became large proper. it reached his bum. and he spent a large style of time on it. long hair on adult men could be so warm. so warm. and its no longer constantly authentic that they are jealous, yet i'm no longer gonna say there arent some ladies that dont want their boyfriends to be prettier than them. inspite of the incontrovertible fact that, i admire prettiness. in all its shapes and types. :D

Personally, I don't want a guy who has better hair than me.
A guys hair should be long enough to run my fingers through, that's all. That's my opinion, I know lots of girls who like long hair.
