Specifically, you are talking about burning about 17,000 excess calories in less than two weeks. While this is techincally possible, you are going to have to adopt an agressive plan involving nutrition and exercise. It's simple (yet not necessarily easy) and just requires knowledge, willpower, and acknowledgement of a little secret.

The secret is acknowledging the true purpose of food as fuel rather than entertainment. Focus on protein, fats, and carbohydrates and learn about each of them. A little bit of research online will teach you a lot. Remember, don't diet; change your eating lifestyle. Doing so will change your life for the better. For the exercise, consider it a priority to include it into your routine.

Anyway, if you want it simple, here it is in ten steps:
1. protein is good...eat plenty (about 30% of your caloric intake)
2. fats are good and bad...know the difference
3. saturated and trans fats are the bad ones - limit these
4. poly- and mono-unsaturated fats are good - don't be afraid of them
5. carbohydrates are good and bad...know the difference
6. fibers and complex carbs are the good ones - eat these (about 40% of your caloric intake)
7. sugars and simple carbs are the bad ones - limit these, particularly late in the day (stay away from sodas and chips!)
8. drink water - lots and lots and lots of water. It's the only drink you need. Anything else is either wasted or simply bad for you
9. Eat 4-6 "meals" a day to boost your metabolism.
10. A meal is defined as a portion of a low-fat, protein rich entree, a portion of veggies for vits/mins, and a portion of complex carbs. (You can get these combined as a health shake)

For exercise, it's even simpler:
1. 4-6 hours per week
2. 45-90 min each day you exercise
3. do aerobic exercise (20-40 min) every day you exercise
4. work abdominals every day you exercise (between sets makes it easy)
5. do chest and triceps exercises on one day
6. do back and biceps exercises on a different day
7. do legs and shoulder exercises on a different day
8. do your exercises in sets (i.e. 3 times with 6-12 repetitions each)
9. keep a record of what you do to measure progress.
10. when your progress stalls (called "plateau"), switch up your routine.

Most people would tell you diet and exercise more. Well I've got a way you can lose 40 pounds in 2 months. Want to know why! 1. Set Up Realistic Weight Loss Goals. Don't set a weird goal like 10 pound a day no. 2. Drink Plenty of Water. Drink about 6-8 glass of water per day. 3. Chew More Slowly when You Eat. If you eat 5 smaller a day you will accomplish your goal, but pleas don't eat three enormous meal. That would actual get you fatter. 4. Exercise at least 30 minuets per day. Pleas stay away from pills they could kill you, some pills could help but there is a few that do help. If you follow this correctly you will achieve your weight goal.

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.

I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.

It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

Get started today!

You can do it....you just have to work hard.

Limit your calorie intake. If you are on a good diet stick with it. You need to start working out for at least an hour everyday until then. Do Cardio or Aerobics. If you don't have access to a treamill or other type of equipment then pick up a workout tape you can do at home.

Leslie Sansome "Walk off the pounds" works great. You need to do at least the 3 mile...but since you are trying for 5 lbs in a week you might want to try the 5 mile.

Also if you can run...then do it!

Also no alcohol until then!!!

Skip meals. Eat 2 times per day than 3 times per day
Dont eat until you're full
Eat fruits at night if your hungry.
Drinks lots of water and stop all the fast food and chocolate.

As far as crash diets go, I followed this one and lost nearly that much in a week.

Breakfast and lunch - 16 oz. PROTEIN DRINK (not Slimfast, or any of that crap - the real all protein/low carb mixes body builders drink from a health food store) mix with water or skim (fat free) milk.

Dinner - ONLY fruit and vegetables - no butter, no salt, no fake butter, no added sugar and no Ranch dressing.

Drink a lot of water throughout the day and combine with a moderate exercise routine. It's a bit drastic, but very effective.

The weight didn't come over night why would you expect to lose it over such a short time span? Great job on 10 lb weight lost. I'm sure everyone will think you look great, give yourself a break.

Sounds like you are doing it right so far. Don't starve yourself, because that just makes your body hold on to the calories. Maybe eat a little less, but mostly increase your activity/exercises. Try to keep moving all the time. You have been exercising, right?

Only way to lose weight is to eat fewer calories and burn more than you take in. So, eat better and less, exercise more, and be smart about it. You don't want to be a good looking corpse.

eat only Special K and veggies. Only water. and get in sauna. Nothing else is gonna do it in a healthy way. You could cheat and use laxatives which is terrible for you
