How about "Woodstock" by Joni Mitchell -
I came upon a child of God
walking down the road
I asked him , where are you going ?
And this he told me

He said I'm going down to Yasgur's Farm
Just join in a rock and roll band.
Get back to the land and set my soul free.

(He said) We are stardust, we are golden,
And WE GOT TO GET OURSELVES back to the garden...

How about the Christmas favourite, "When a Child is Born" (Johnny Mathis) -
Is this REALLY a song about the Lord Jesus, or a song about Antichrist?
Check out the lyrics for yourself...

The Greatest Love of All - written by Michael Masser & Linda Creed (apparently). Sung by George Benson and later by Whitney Houston. Was used in the docudrama, "The Greatest" (!) with Muhammad Ali playing himself. An appropriate song to be used in a movie about arguably one of the most self - exalting public figures in modern history...
I agree with your views on the song, Hope. Pretty much the same kind of thoughts have occurred to me when I have heard this dross played on the radio.
Also, take the time to look up USA for Africa's "We are the World" lyrics. Urggh...

Well, I'm sure you'd be hard pressed to find many to agree with me, but I think this song is very deceptive-

The Greatest Love Of All
By Whitney Houston

" I believe that children are our future
Teach them well and let them lead the way
Show them all the beauty they possess inside
Give them a sense of pride to make it easier
Let the children's laughter remind us how we used to be

Everybody searching for a hero
People need someone to look up to
I never found anyone to fulfill my needs
A lonely place to be
So I learned to depend on me

I decided long ago
Never to walk in anyone's shadows
If I fail, if I succeed
At least I will live as I believe
No matter what they take from me
They can't take away my dignity

Chorus:
Because the greatest love of all
Is happening to me
I found the greatest love of all
Inside of me
The greatest love of all
Is easy to achieve
Learning to love yourself
It is the greatest love of all"

Exalting man above God?
Self love and pride and sufficiency?
Finding a hero within?-
"Learning" to love ourselves? Ha! I thought we were already experts at that.
Rubbish! Pure rubbish.
God is the greatest love of all,
apart from Christ we can do no good thing,
in and of ourselves we have nothing good.

I Write the Songs, by Barry Manilow

I've been alive forever, and I wrote the very first song
I put the words and the melodies together
I am music and I write the songs

refrain:
I write the songs that make the whole world sing
I write the songs of love and special things
I write the songs that make the young girls cry
I write the songs, I write the songs

My home lies deep within you
And I've got my own place in your soul
Now, when I look out through your eyes
I'm young again, even though I'm very old

refrain

Oh my music makes you dance
And gives you spirit to take a chance
And I wrote some rock 'n' roll so you can move
Music fills your heart
Well, that's a real fine place to start
It's from me it's for you
It's from you, it's for me
It's a worldwide symphony

refrain
refrain

Manilow claims some spirit moved him to write this in a very short time. I don't think R-n-R is from God, so Satan's the only other choice as author.

One thing its not is a secular song as this is not subtle. Satan's most subtle devices is to make falsehood look as close to the truth as possible so as to deceive. It has been rightly said that a church sings its heresies before it confesses them. While I can't be specific on song or artist I've heard enough to know the proliferation of false doctrine being played in Christian circles and accepted as if it were of God. It is the "save yourself" doctrine. It speaks of salvation as if a person has the ability within themselves to "choose" Christ and live, or to pray a prayer and be saved. Contrary to Holy Scripture that declares "there is none who seeks after God".
Vast numbers of empty professors rely on their own work however so great or little and have never known the power of Christs resurrection in their life. What a horrid deception of Satan being sung by millions today.

Artist: Madonna Lyrics
Song: Beautiful Stranger Lyrics

Haven't we met
You're some kind of beautiful stranger
You could be good for me
I have a taste for danger
If I'm smart then I'll run away
But I'm not so I guess I'll stay
Heaven forbid
I take my chance on a beautiful stranger

I looked into your eyes
And my world came tumbling down
You're the devil in disguise
That's why I'm singing this song
To know you is to love you

You're everywhere I go
And everybody knows
To love you is to be part of you
I pay for you with tears
And swallow all my pride

Dah-dah-dah-de dah-de-dah-de dah dah dah-dah-dum
Beautiful stranger
Dah-dah-dah-de dah-de-dah-de dah dah dah-dah-dum
Beautiful stranger

IT SAYS IN THE BIBLE THAT THE DEVIL WAS BEAUTIFUL. COVERED IN GEMS AND STONES.

SHE IS TALKING ABOUT SATAN
I THINK MADONNA IS THE MOST EVIL WOMEN IN ENERTAINMENT.

PLUS I DONT SEE THE APPEAL.
SHE IS SOOOOO CRAP

Hotel California

Last thing I remember, I was
Running for the door
>>I had to find the passage back
To the place I was before<<
'Relax,' said the night man,
'We are programmed to receive.
You can check-out any time you like,
But you can never leave!'

But i also see it as a warning,... that something of this sort exist and can trouble the mind,... And i disagree, if one chooses it, one can always leave. Jesus has won the battle.

******************************************************************

i just wanted to share this, i remembered my parents telling me a story about a famous boy group that went to the Philippines and got a very nice welcome from the Pilipinos (flying rotten tomatoes all around the airport),... LOL
[i came across this while searching for the lyrics for Hotel California],....that incident happened because of this,

>>>Lennon also made that infamous statement, "Christianity will go, it will vanish and shrink. I needn't argue about that. I'm right and will be proved right. . . .We're more popular than Jesus now." (San Francisco Chronicle, April 13, 1966, p.26)

I couldn't help but put in two cents in about two songs listed
Hotel California is about drug addiction and how hard it is to break
Rhaphsody, was about AIDS, look at the entire context of the song before single out a lyric, the message will change
and anything by the wham, satanic?........

Ace of Base- I saw the sign...comes to mind
Infact most secular songs have Satan undertones in them, even Gospel ones-A lot of Gospel songs.

Only the Spirit of God can tell you which ones they are. Heavy rock, rap and pop, with drums and funky beat in Gospel music is Satanic and does not emanate from God. Remember Satan was the CHIEF MUSICIAN in heaven before he was cast down and has a singing voice equal to none on earth. When he sang it was as if 5 voices sang in harmony. Its his strong point and obvisouly he is using it in the world today.
All RAP. ROCK, POP etc that does not give praise and glory to God in a humble, sanctified way is SATANIC. EVEN GOSPEL ARTISTS that think they praise GOD when they rap, roack, shout, yell, curse and dress like SATAN's agent.

BE CAREFUL, LET THE HOLY SPIRIT GUIDE YOU WITH GOSPEL MUSIC CHOICES, AND STAY AWAY FROM SECULAR MUSIC

I dont believe there is any Satanic music, people who dont know the lyrics presume there is satanic overtures in the music, I remember when I was younger they said if you play such and such backwards it was Satanic, who in their right mind would ruin their records to do that in the first place. People who say music is satanic have warpped minds and believe in censorship. Iam a Catholic Christian
